Brit Eady, who has appeared on Real Housewives of Atlanta this season, has filed a lawsuit against the parent network Bravo. According to the court documents, this is recent news, and it took place on June 5, 2025.
The reason? Brit claims that it was defamation, which gave her emotional distress. She also has filed for s*xual harassment and hostile work environment, and the shots are fired at not just Bravo, but NBC, True Original, and Endemol Shine North America.
For the unversed, it all happened this season as she joined and got into a cold war against fellow star Kenya Moore. Now Kenya had a salon opening and had invited all the big names from around them, including her co-stars.
But the thing is, she had a trick up her sleeve. Kenya had printed out pictures of a woman who was engaged in a s*xual act, and it was later revealed that the woman was none other than Brit Eady.
Due to this, Bravo fired Kenya from the franchise, and even her co-stars felt she had stooped too low with this one.
Brit was devastated when this happened, especially due to the public nature of it. However, she had to relive this trauma of June 2024 again this year when episode 5, featuring this whole fiasco, aired.
Brit Eady sues Bravo and other networks for "THE" scene in Real Housewives of Atlanta
Brit claims that it was Bravo and other networks who led the viewers to believe that the woman in the photo shared by Kenya Moore to everyone had her in it, engaging in a s*xual act.
Even though Kenya was fired by the network, Eady says that she was forced to work on Real Housewives of Atlanta and film for the episodes. She labels it a "gendered attack."
It is safe to assume that Brit Eady is traumatized and in her lawsuit, wants Bravo to take down episode 5 where things went south, and an additional amount of $20 million for everything she went through since.
Filming of the Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 reunion took place recently, which Brit had denied attending. On that day, she also took to social media to establish that the woman in the posters that were shared at the Kenya Moore salon was not her.
People magazine had obtained court files, and this is what the official documents of the lawsuit against the Real Housewives of Atlanta creators read. It says:
"Defendants willfully, intentionally, recklessly, and/or with gross negligence produced, edited, and aired an episode of RHOA on April 6, 2025, that included footage of certain of the cast member’s statements at issue as well as commentary from other cast members that described the photographs displayed."
It adds:
"Further, the manner in which the episode was aired falsely yet unmistakably implied that the graphic sexual photograph presented by the cast member depicted [Eady]."
Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 episodes release weekly on Bravo at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Sundays. On the next day, the episodes are available to stream online via Peacock.
