Baddies Africa Reunion Part 2 aired on October 26, 2025, on the Zeus Network. The second part of the episode featured multiple physical altercations and arguments among cast members.
One of the conversations featured in the episode featured Fania. It was about her name being mispronounced. It didn't sit well with her. Fans must remember how she had been vocal about it and repeatedly noted how her name was spelled and pronounced.
Baddies Africa star Fania had also shared her thoughts on the subject while going live on Instagram, on multiple occasions. During the reunion, once again, Fania noted that her name was not that hard to pronounce.
"And my thinking, all it was over a name. And my name is really not that hard. It's Fania. I could understand that if you're writing it off of a piece of paper, like, it's pronounced differently. But if I'm telling you, my name's Fania. It's not hard to pronounce," shared Fania.
Baddies Africa Reunion Part 2: Fania opens up about correctly pronouncing her name at the reunion
The recently released Baddies Africa Reunion Part 2 featured a video clip from the show. The show host asked everyone to take a look at one of the scenes. It involved some of the cast members traveling. There was an argument, which soon turned into an altercation.
It was over Fania's name and its pronunciation. Witnessing multiple cast members getting into an altercation, the show host reacted:
"Yeah, talk about the energy. Y'all wasn't playing."
Scotty noted that they did a big one. They were talking about Fania's name. She responded that it was all over a name. She noted that it was not even that hard. The cast member also noted that it wasn't even about writing her name. Because if it was then, it would be difficult, as it was spelled differently. She noted that it was "not hard" to pronounce.
Throughout the show, Fania had been correcting fellow cast members about her name. However, that was not being considered by a few of them.
Baddies Africa star had also been going live on social media platforms and expressed her concerns over the same. During her May and June 2025 lives on Instagram, Fania shed some light on the topic.
"I didn't expect them to play with my name like that. Like, why y'all playing with my name like? My name's not even hard to say. It's Fania. It's...it's spelled differently than it's said. But if I'm saying like y'all in person, like my name's Fania, then, like, you should respect it straight up. Like, I ain't disrespecting nobody's name," she said.
She noted that because her name was disrespected, that's why some of the altercations that happened had happened.
Baddies Africa star mentioned that her name was not hard.
"Like, even if she would have said like Fanta. Like, soda. I would never have gotten mad. That I would never have gotten mad, or if she would have been like, you know, that s*its hard to pronounce like, but I got you," she added.
During one of her lives on Instagram, Fania read someone's comment, which said:
"Fanta fanta, don't you want ta."
She admitted that even if she were to be called Fanta, and they made it cute like that, she would be dancing with joy. But they only wanted to disrespect it, and she wasn't going to let them do it.
