Hulu's legal drama Reasonable Doubt Season 3, Episodes 1 and 2, titled Feelin' It and A Million and One Questions, premiered on September 18, 2025. Created by Raamla Mohamed, the series delves into the professional and personal life of Jax Stewart (Emayarzt Corinealdi), a criminal defense lawyer of a top LA law firm. Reasonable Doubt Season 3 dives deeper into the messy truths, testing loyalties and pushing every character to their breaking point.
Previously, in Reasonable Doubt Season 2, we saw how Lewis's former lover, Toni, sued Jax and Lewis for her baby Jayden's death. She accused Lewis of gaslighting her when she needed her the most.
Here's what happened in Reasonable Doubt Season 3 Episode 1 and 2.
Reasonable Doubt Season 3 Episode 1 and 2 recap: Toni sues Jax and Lewis for her baby's death
The episode kicks off with Jax and Lewis meeting Toni and her lawyer. When Jax's lawyer tries to settle the case by paying for attorney fees and an additional 10k, Toni refuses. Toni seems adamant and claims 750k for her loss. Jax loses her cool when Toni's lawyer reveals that Toni wouldn't sign the settlement agreement until they claim liability for the death of her child. Turns out, it's already been over a year of deliberation with Toni, and even after switching lawyers over three times, the case remains unsolved.
When Jax finally agrees to pay the damages as per Toni's demand, Toni's lawyer informs them that there has been a change in the contract, and the sum has been raised to 1.5 million dollars. Toni also wants them to sign the agreement that states that they are liable for her son's death. Jax, in no mood to take liability for her child's death, in an emotional conversation, even calls Toni an emotional terrorist. In the end, Toni finally agrees to sign the settlement contract, but with a clause. She demands to spend a night with Lewis. Obviously, Jax is not in support of the idea, but he realizes that this might be their only option to get rid of the case, as Lewis explains it.
Reasonable Doubt Season 3 Episode 1 and 2 recap: Lewis spends a night with Toni
As per Toni's demands, Lewis agrees to spend a night with Toni but promises to text Jax to keep her on track. When Lewis finally spends some time with Toni, she tries to get intimate, but Lewis refuses. Toni is emotionally broken, and the two have a conversation about their misunderstandings. However, Toni becomes too emotional and angrily asks Lewis to leave the room. Her anger dies down when she sees Lewis holding the clothes that they bought for their child. They have a one-on-one conversation, and Toni finally signs the document.
Reasonable Doubt Season 3 Episode 1 and 2 recap: The Ozzie Edward and Wendy case
Amidst personal turmoils, Jax is thrown into a case that's quite confusing. At the center of the case is Ozzie, once a popular child actor who is on the brink of superstardom, set to land a big project. However, his life comes crashing down when her personal equations with his girlfriend implode. His parents treat his career like a business empire, pushing Ozzie to cut ties with his girlfriend, Wendy. They don't want Ozzie to be associated with Wendy, who's a hairstylist, a white woman, 10 years older than him.
Things take a turn when, during an award night, Wendy vanishes after a heated argument and is found dead in a cabin. Naturally, the suspicion falls on Ozzie. Door cam footage and physical evidence paint him as a criminal. A gun registered in his name ties him to her murder, and by Episode 2, he faces arrest for second-degree murder. Jax scrambles to shield him from a media frenzy. In the closing moments of the episode, Jax's biological father's sudden return hints at deeper trouble. The episode leaves the viewers with several questions, including: Can Jax save Ozzie? Is Ozzie responsible for Wendy's murder? Why did Jax's biological father turn up?
