We are less than a week away from The Witcher Season 4 release and the anticipation has never been higher. There have been very less shows that have faced as much controversy as this one, but ever since Henry Cavill announced that he was stepping back from the role of Geralt and Liam Hemsworth would be replacing him, fans have been very nervous about the new season.

As Season 4's release draws closer, now starring Liam Hemsworth as Geralt, a familiar face, Rebecca Hanssen, who plays Queen Meve, teased her return.

Queen Meve's addition was somewhat, considering the direction that the story was taking and the stills from the Battle of the Bridge. The excitement for the fourth season is at a new high since it was revealed that Hanssen's Queen Meve will be returning. Hanssen recently teased the fourth season when she revealed how she thinks fans will react to her character's return.

Rebecca Hanssen as Queen Meve of Lyria and Rivia first appeared on The Witcher at the end of Season 2. Her ability to make the hard choices for her people's protection has always been a special addition for fans of the show, and the return of a familiar face is offering fans some solace.

As per Redanian Intelligence, Queen Meve might be a part of the last two episodes of the fourth season. Hanssen somewhat confirmed this when she said that fans of the show will really enjoy the last episode of The Witcher Season 4. She added that, especially the fans of the video game Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, will be pleased with the episode

"I think fans of Thronebreaker, the game, will be very pleased with the last episode."

Queen Meve has been a fan-favorite character of The Witcher fandom ever since the Andrzej Sapkowski books were published, but Thronebreaker added something special to this character. Her excellent leadership and strong personality made her one of the most exceptional characters in the game and now the series.

Redanian Intelligence has reported many additions to the cast of the show that prove that The Witcher Season 4 will include the Battle of the Bridge, where Geralt and his Hansa fight for the Northern troops against Nilfgaardians. In Andrzej Sapkowski's books, at the end of the Battle of the Bridge, Queen Meve crowns Geralt, officially naming him Geralt of Rivia. The video game Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales also adapts this scene from the book, but, since Queen Meve is the protagonist in the game, the scene is from her point of view.

Hanssen's comments might mean that The Witcher Season 4 will also feature scenes from her perspective, but this is just speculation at this point, and we'll have to wait for the release to find out.

Netflix is currently releasing promo videos and individual character posters to amp up the excitement for the October 30 release, but fans are more nervous than ever about the new season, especially after the trailer drop.
