The Witcher Season 4 was released less than a month ago, and fans have had quite a mixed bag reaction to the show so far. But it is a well-known fact that there is a huge number of people who worked hard to bring this project to life.

In fact, a recent statistic revealed that Season 4 of the show has a huge number of people working on the production, more than any other CD Projekt RED show of late.

According to a report by CD Projekt RED, The Witcher Season 4 has 447 people working on its production as of October 2025. This is a minor increase from the 444 people who were recorded working on the project in July 2025.

This number is higher than any other CD Projekt RED production as of now, including the likes of Cyberpunk 2, Sirius, and Hadar, to name a few.

Overall, CD Projekt RED has increased its workforce from 799 to 851 across all projects, since the last report in July 2025.

The Witcher Season 4 has received one of the worst reviews since the beginning of the show

The Witcher Season 4 was one of the most anticipated shows of 2025, but not for the right reasons. This was especially since fans were apprehensive about the cast change that took place.

Henry Cavill played the role of Geralt in the previous seasons, and was extremely loved by fans. However, in a shocking turn of events, he was replaced by Liam Hemsworth in the fourth season.

Unfortunately, this change was not well-received by the audience. The viewers of The Witcher Season 4 did not appreciate Liam Hemsworth's portrayal of the character, and the portrayal has been called jarring, among other things. It seems that the actor could not win over the hearts of the audience, who are still not over Henry Cavill's portrayal of the character.

What started off as an 88% rating in Season 1 has now dropped to a 19% rating in Season 4. While the change in lead actor is a primary cause for this drop, there are also other factors that have affected this rating. This includes factors like a weaker storyline than the previous seasons, and also the fact that the season strayed away from the original plotline of the books.

It is interesting to note that while the show received massive backlash from people all over the fandom, it also raked up a massive viewership on Netflix. In fact, the show even came within the top 10 shows on the streaming platform in many countries.

The Witcher Season 4 is available to stream on Netflix.
