Apple TV+ recently released a brand-new trailer for The Morning Show Season 4, set to premiere on September 17, and things aren't looking too good for Aniston's Alex Levy. The third season of the hit drama ended on an especially elusive note, as Alex had pulled off a merger coup with a rival morning show, leading to the creation of the new network UBN. Even though UBN was presented as a symbol of a brighter future, the trailer reveals that things might not be as bright as they seem.
Alex is hoping for a reset, where she uses a new company to set a new motto, but it takes more than just plans to clean house.
Brand-new trailer for The Morning Show Season 4 starring Reese Witherspoon
The UBN might be a new network after the merger between UBA and NBN, but the new culture and real change that were promised before the coup seem to be lost when new players enter the network.

The trailer for The Morning Show Season 4 opens on an optimistic note when Witherspoon's Bradley waxes poetic about second chances and an opportunity to rest and restart, followed by Alex's promises about a new company culture. Stella and Mia come in with their commitments to get impactful stories out first and to get them out right.
However, the illusion of a changed culture falls apart when newcomer Marion Cotillard's Celine comes in with:
"It's a nice idea. But it's not sexy"
The trailer continues to introduce the viewers to an exposé that Bradley is working on, one that could burn the entire house down, and soon enough, Alex comes in asking her to shut it down. We still don't know what happened after the Season 3 cliffhanger, where Bradley turned herself in to the FBI.
Nevertheless, she is not one to hide from the truth or let others hide, as another shot follows where black paint is thrown at Alex in the midst of a protest.
We thought things were dramatic last season, but The Morning Show is returning after a two-year time jump and is more dramatic than ever. As Cory is heard saying in the trailer:
"The drama at the network is juicier than the drama on the network"
Boyd Holbrook is also joining the cast of The Morning Show this season as a podcaster, once an antagonist to Jennifer Aniston's Alex, but now they're closer. In the final moments, Bradley and Alex are facing each other, and she tells her that she started this to make the network a better place, to which Alex replies:
"You can't clean a house if you're about to blow it up"
Everything is set to get even more complicated, thrilling, and bone-chilling in The Morning Show Season 4. Many former colleagues join Alex, Bradley, and others in this journey, including Jon Hamm's Paul, Greta Lee's Stella, Karen Pittman's Mia, and Billy Crudup's Cory.
The logline for the new season reads:
The Morning Show opens in spring 2024, almost two years after the events of season three. With the UBA-NBN merger complete, the newsroom must grapple with newfound responsibility, hidden motives and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America. In a world rife with deepfakes, conspiracy theories and corporate cover-ups -- who can you trust? And how can you know what’s actually real?
