Film director and producer Rob Reiner was discovered deceased at his Los Angeles residence, TMZ has confirmed. Alongside Rob, his wife, Michele Reiner, was also found lifeless at the residence.

According to TMZ, authorities are looking into their deaths as a possible homicide, but no official cause has been confirmed yet. The case is still under investigation.

Directed by Rob Reiner, the producer and actor played the role of Marty DiBergi in the movie. The story is about a British rock band, Spinal Tap, and the struggles and problems they face as they go on a tour.

Marty is a filmmaker and a character in the movie who interviews the British rock band, which makes the movie feel more like a documentary. It shows the mishaps, hidden struggles, and funny moments of the band.

Viewers loved this movie because of the fact that Marty gave each member enough time through his interviews to focus more on their life and how they feel about the negative reviews and their reactions, making it stand out from the usual movie storyline.


2) The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

The movie features Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, and Margot Robbie in the main cast. Rob Reiner plays the character of Max Belfort in the movie, who is the father of the lead character, Jordan Belfort.

The movie is based on the true story of Jordan, a man who becomes a rich stockbroker and gets caught up in a life with the power that comes with it. Max's role follows a father struggling to control his own anger while trying to guide his son to avoid drastic consequences.

Throughout the movie, viewers see Max yelling at his son, showing his anger and high temper, which gave him the title of Mad Max.

Rob Reiner was in the supporting cast of the sitcom that ran for nine seasons. In the sitcom, he played the character of Michael 'Meathead' Stivic. His character is a young Polish-American man from Chicago. He is a pretty smart character in the series who also studies hard. However, he does argue with his father-in-law, who is the lead character in the sitcom, from time to time.

His character was loved by the audience for showing flaws that made him relatable. While his arguments were one of the highlights of the show, viewers realized that the lead character and Rob were pretty similar even after their clashes.


4) New Girl (2011-2018)

In the sitcom, Rob played the role of Bob Day, who is the father of the lead character Jess Day and her sister Abby Day. Bob is shown as a normal dad who is very caring towards his daughter and worries about her dating life. This sometimes also leads to him imitating the guys so they don't come close to his daughter.

During the series, he also finds a boy, Nick, who he finds very similar when it comes to his own traits. However, he still finds it hard to let him be with his daughter. The series revolves around Jess as she shifts into a new apartment.


5) The Bear (2022-present)

In the comedy drama, Rob appears in the role of Albert Schnurr. Though he appeared in only a limited number of episodes, his acting left viewers amazed, making this one of his best projects.

Albert is shown as a restaurant expert. While he comes to guide Ebra with her work, he is taken aback by her work and offers to help expand it into a franchise, which shows his entrepreneurial skills. At times, he is also seen supporting and guiding staff with their growth, which makes his character extra charming.
