Resident Alien Season 4 just opened with its premiere episode and seemingly heralds the foreboding that all hell will soon break loose. The third season of Resident Evil left several questions unanswered in its finale, and these are poised to be taken up by the latest season of the show.

While the ultimate fate of Harry and the question concerning his return to Earth loomed large in the opening moments of the Resident Alien Season 4 premiere, there was also the lingering unease that the Harry that everyone seemed to get along with on Earth wasn't the real one after all.

Here's everything that happened on the latest episode of the show.

Resident Evil Season 4 picked up from where it had left off in the previous season

In the opening moments of the Resident Evil Season 4 premiere, Asta and Joseph are seen together in bed. Being the Grey alien who eventually had a change of heart and turned out to be good, Joseph has been shapeshifting all this while to turn into various people. This has somehow kept the others in the dark regarding his true intentions.

On the other hand, Asta and D'Arcy have been taking care of Ben and Kate's baby. The episode soon takes a sinister turn when Joseph mentions that the Grey aliens are still pursuing the baby and are hell bent on getting her by hook or by crook.

It is further revealed that no matter how she tries, Kate will not be able to defend her child from the aliens as the latter have caused something to her that renders her incapable. Asta eventually finds a spot on the Indian reservation to hide the baby, acting upon D'Arcy's realization that they can't have the baby at hand.

In other news, Sheriff Mike has had to escape to medical leave as he's still reeling from the face-to-face encounter with aliens on the finale of the third season. By the end of the episode, Harry manages to break free from the prison where he was being held captive with Brigit, and with the help of a Grey alien who wants to visit Earth, he makes the homeward journey.

Showrunner opens up about Resident Alien Season 4

Speaking in an exclusive interview with TV Insider, Resident Alien Season 4 showrunner Chris Sheridan shared his exclusive insights about the show. Speaking about his ensemble cast, Sheridan commented:

"They’re all fans of the show and fans of each other, which also doesn’t always happen. As a showrunner and creator, being able to stumble into a group of actors that are not only really talented, but have the chemistry that they have, then on top of that are all good people and all get along? It’s not going to happen.”

Resident Alien Season 4 airs new episodes exclusively on USA Network.
