Rick and Morty Season 8 aired its fourth and latest episode on June 15. The episode was titled The Last Temptation of Jerry, and featured a marathon of laughs as the titular duo once again scrambled to rescue Jerry from the primeval forces of the Eastern Bunny and the Stone guys, all the while pursuing an elusive Easter egg, which wasn't at all what it appeared to be.

They also contended with the Christ Troopers. The episode ended with Jerry and the others being rescued, but not before they had been through adventures replete with caustic humor.

Here's everything that you need to know about the latest episode of Rick and Morty.

An Easter Bunny wrecked havoc on the latest episode of Rick and Morty

The latest episode of Rick and Morty Season 8 kicked off with Jerry trying his best to be a good father on Easter, and trying to gather the other members of the Sanchez family along with Morty and Summer to have a good time. Despite his noble intentions, Beth is only interested to visit during spring break while Rick isn't interested in Easter at all. A disappointed Jerry drives away with his Easter treats, and on the way hits a strange humanoid rabbit with scary features. He takes the carcass to Rick for close inspection and, after scanning it, Rick discovers it is the proverbial Easter Bunny, and has been trapped in permafrost from the 13th century until recently.

In a bizarre twist, Jerry slowly starts transforming into a bunny himself. Rick crystallizes him to slow the change and, along with Morty, heads to the permafrost of the German Alps to fix Jerry. They come across a hamlet where Easter has nothing to do with Jesus Christ, but rather is a celebration of the fearful bunny. Inside a church, they find documents relating to the Andromeda galaxy and a bizarre Easter Egg.

Rick and Morty come across the Christ Troopers

Very soon the Christ Troopers pay a visit to Rick and Morty, trying to take away the Easter egg. They then visit the planet in Andromeda galaxy, only to find it inhabited by the weird Stone guys, who have somehow infused the eggs with a pheromone catalyst, and their goal is to spread these eggs in planets they wish to destroy by overpopulation.

A dramatic showdown ensues between the Christ Troopers and the Stone guys, while Rick along with Morty end up escaping to the Easter island. By the end of the episode, the Stone guys have been repelled, and all remaining easter eggs accounted for. Jerry returns to his normal self and things are quiet once again.
