Rick and Morty Season 8 has aired two episodes so far, and fans believe the show is back on track with the same charm and satire that its earlier seasons were known for. The adventures of a mad scientist and his grandson are able to keep the audience hooked to the screens.

The eighth season of the sci-fi animated series premiered on May 25, 2025, and has so far aired new episodes every Sunday without any breaks. It will feature a total of 10 episodes, with the finale scheduled for July 27, 2025.

As for streaming, the upcoming episode will not be readily available on a streaming platform. Instead, the complete Rick and Morty Season 8 will begin streaming on Max (soon to be HBO Max) after all episodes have finished airing on television. Written by Albro Lundy, James Siciliano, and Michael Kellner, the episode is titled The Rick, The Mort & The Ugly. It will mark the return of The Citadel of Ricks, where the grandpa and grandson duo are protected from intergalactic attacks. The logline for the episode reads:

“Some guys wanna rebuild the citadel, broh; seems like a bad idea, broh; yeehaw stuff, broh."

The voice cast of the show includes Ian Cardoni as Rick Sanchez, Harry Belden as Morty Smith Prime, Chris Parnell as Jerry Smith and Tom, Spencer Grammer as Summer Smith, Sarah Chalke as Beth Smith, and Stephen Root as Gromflomite General. The official synopsis of the series reads:

“Rick and Morty follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. Rick Sanchez is living with his daughter Beth’s family and constantly bringing her, his son-in-law Jerry, granddaughter Summer, and grandson Morty into intergalactic escapades.”
