Harlan Coben fans assemble as Netflix has finally released the official trailer for Run Away, its upcoming mystery thriller series, adapted from Coben's 2019 eponymous novel. The show is scheduled to premiere on January 1, 2026.

Run Away follows the story of Paige, the eldest daughter of Simon and Ingrid Greene, who runs away from her home one day. Simon's picture-perfect life gets disrupted as he frantically searches for his daughter, only to find her distraught and on dr*gs in a city park. While Simon and Ingrid are elated to see their daughter again, they realize that she is not alone and has fallen into a trap laid by the dangerous underworld.

As Simon races to save his daughter once again, he finds himself entangled in a dangerous conspiracy that threatens his family's safety.

James Nesbitt as Simon Greene: Irish actor James Nesbitt plays the lead character of Simon Greene in Netflix's upcoming adaptation of Harlan Coben's story. Simon is at the centre of the narrative as he is looking for his eldest daughter, Paige, who has run away from her away. Simon's search for Paige will lead his family into a dark web of conspiracies in the underworld. Nesbitt is best known for his performances in Cold Feet and The Missing.

Minnie Driver as Ingrid Greene: Academy Award-nominated (Good Will Hunting) British actress Minnie Driver is the next addition to the Run Away cast. Ellie de Lange as Paige: Dutch-British rising actress Ellie de Lange bagged Paige's role after a string of auditions. Coben particularly hand-picked Lange for the role, as he told Netflix Tudum:

“Ellie really captured both the strength and the frailty of this character of Paige — what she’s going through and the secrets that she’s keeping. There’s a lot that she has to evoke here and emote in this character.”

Lange has previously appeared in BBC One's historical drama series Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light and Peacock's historical miniseries The Tattooist of Auschwitz.
