Run Away Episode 6 recap: A deadly secret is revealed

Did Professor Van de Beek hurt Paige?

The truth regarding Paige's experience at university was finally made clear in Run Away. Professor van de Beek was not the antagonist that many people thought he was. When Simon met him, the professor clarified everything and revealed another detail about Paige.

Another student, Katie, cooked up rumours about Paige in an obsession and pursued him. He had merely assisted Paige with her coursework. Professor van de Beek further revealed that Paige was assaulted and her drink was drugged while attending a party. She had no recollection after she woke up in someone's bed. Although Professor van de Beek wasn't sure, he was suspicious of Doug Mulzer, who had attacked in the gym a few days after the incident.

Aaron Corval confronted Doug in the gym a few days after the incident, pointing out that the student could be Doug Mulzer. Despite the professor's attempts to help her report the incident, Paige denied it when questioned by the institution.

Ash and Dee Dee receive another mission

The series continued to follow Ash and Dee Dee as they prepared for a deadly mission. Alison made a call and admitted there was a problem because Elena was getting too close to the truth. Ash and Dee Dee had already taken guns from the Shining Truth cult member and planned to silence anyone who knew too much.

Elena believed she was meeting someone named Stephanie who might know about the adoption agency, but Stephanie was actually Dee Dee in disguise. Dee Dee drove her to a remote cabin in the woods. Elena noticed a plastic sheet on the floor and understood the danger. The series took a dark turn when Ash shot her before she could escape. Elena died thinking of Joel as the cabin echoed with gunfire.

Elena's hidden truth about Joel

Run Away delivered a rare moment of peace before Elena's tragic end. During Lou's visit, she confessed to Elena that Joel had never deceived her. Joel helped Remi (a close friend) get pregnant, which resulted in Maria's birth. Joel kept Elena's infertility a secret to keep her safe.

Elena was comforted knowing that her husband had remained faithful. Maria dismissed the charges and invited Elena to dinner. Elena finally found serenity and photographed Stephanie's automobile before continuing her search for an answer.
