What happened in S.W.A.T. Season 8 Episode 14?
In the previous episode, titled The Santa Clara, Tan was sued by Alex Doberstein, a former SWAT Academy cadet who got badly hurt during training. Doberstein could not become a police officer because of his injuries, so he sued both Tan and SWAT to cover his hospital bills.
However, Tan believed it wasn’t his fault because Doberstein did not follow safety rules and set off a bomb too close to himself. While Tan dealt with the lawsuit, SWAT was called to stop a major museum robbery where thieves stole a billion dollars' worth of artifacts and killed several people.
One survivor, Karla, hid and called 911, helping SWAT track the criminals. The stolen artifacts came from the Santa Clara shipwreck, and different groups fought over them. It was eventually revealed that Karla actually worked for a Colombian crew.
A shootout then took place at the shipyard, which led to Karla’s arrest. Later, Tan was cleared from the lawsuit when it was discovered that a faulty detonator had caused Doberstein’s injury.
