The Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot has gotten fans very excited, and now the OG vampire slayer, Sarah Michelle Gellar, has expressed an interest in reviving the original cast for the reboot.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Michelle Gellar revealed how excited she was about the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot. She hoped that the reboot would revive the older cast as well, including those who had died in the original storyline.
"It will be lighter than the last few seasons of the original. We will try to find a balance between new and old characters. My dream is to bring back everyone who has died, but space will have to be made for new stories as well."

Sarah Michelle Gellar claims she is relieved as she did not face the pressure of social media during the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer series
Sarah Michelle Gellar, during an interview with Vanity Fair, revealed that she is extremely relieved that she did not have to deal with the pressure of social media like stars of today have to.
Speaking about this, Michelle Gellar said,
"One of the surprising aspects of Buffy is that it’s always been a crossover series. We’re trying to figure out how to modernize the themes of the series, especially what it means to feel like an outsider in a world dominated by social media. What we want to explore are the space-time boundaries that affect society today."
Additionally, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star mentioned that she had not been open to the idea of a crossover for many years before the idea was pitched to her by Chloe Zhao, a self-proclaimed Buffy fan, and approached Michelle Gellar with the idea of a reboot.
"For so many years, I said no to a possible return of the series. I didn’t want to reintroduce something we had already seen. I waited for the right time to come. Then Chloé, a big Buffy fan, proposed the project to me, and I accepted. The gestation was long. It’s been three years, and we’re still working on it."
The reboot is in full swing, with casting underway for the project. Ryan Keira Armstrong of Star Wars fame has been revealed as the new slayer opposing Gellar, and his character has been described as an introverted high-school student.
