After 15 very long years, ABC renewed Scrubs for its tenth season and a brand-new intern class for Sacred Heart Hospital. Since its premiere in 2001, the hospital-set comedy has followed Zach Braff's Dr. John "JD" Dorian's journey from an intern to an attending.

Now that the show has been rebooted after a 15-year-long gap, many familiar faces are set to return for the tenth season, but many new faces will also be joining the ensemble.

As per the latest updates, the ABC show has added 9 new actors to join the original cast, and some of them might just be familiar faces for Scrubs fans. Here's what we know.

Scrubs Season 9 entirely shifted the story to different grounds and focused on a new set of newbies, and according to the details revealed as of now, the tenth season will stay true to all the developments and changes that took place in Season 9, so the sky is the limit when it comes to guest appearances from familiar faces. The reboot, as per ABC, is set to explore:

"JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) scrub in together for the first time in a long time- medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way."

According to the latest updates, nine new actors have been added to the cast list. First up, we have Robert Maschino from Men at Work and Cougar Town and Phill Lewis from Suite Life of Zack and Cody, reprising their roles as Todd and Hooch in Scrubs.

Additionally, Vanessa Bayer from Freakier Friday, Saturday Night Live, and I Love That For You will be seen as Sibby, who runs a wellness program for the staff and faculty of the hospital.

Joining Bayer is Joel Kim Booster from Loot and K-Pop: Demon Hunters, who is set to play Dr. Eric Park, an attending doctor at Sacred Heart Hospital.
