The writer of Helluva Boss, Brandon Rogers, speaks to Collider in an interview and talks about the future of the animated series.
Helluva Boss writer on the future of the adult animated show

Helluva Boss has always been a fan-favorite animated series. With its blend of chaotic-ness, poignant moments, and wild humor, the show has become a cult classic of sorts. However, in a recent interview with Collider, writer Brandon Rogers spoke about the series ending with the fourth season.
He speaks about how fans often mention about whether the creators of a show know when they will end the series and to this, he says that “we’ve always known. Season 4 is when it ends, and everything that happens is intentional.” He also says that he knows “how the show is gonna end since day one.”
Even though fans might be discouraged after hearing this news, Rogers sees the bright side. He talks about how he has been given the rare opportunity of telling a story from the start till the end. “I’m very blessed that we have the means to tell a full story…We’re not going to wonder, is this our last season? we have all of our seasons…now we don’t have to self-produce, which is even better.”
Ultimately, Rogers is happy that as a writer, he will get the opportunity to tie up any loose ends and ends the show they way he wants. “Like I said, I’m a storyteller, and now I have this platform where this really awesome story can be told all the way…"
Rogers talks about the ending of Helluva Boss and the difference between corporate animation and passion projects

While Brandon Rogers makes it clear that he won’t give away the ending, he does says that, “I think they all have a very fitting conclusion, and that’s one of the tragedies and joys of writing…what’s best for the character may or may not be best for you…to me, the best part of every story is the ending or the final act.”
In another interview with Collider, Rogers also put forward his sentiments about how animated projects that are born out of passion have more depth than corporate projects. He states, "I feel like [Vivienne Medrano] is paving the way for a lot of people...And I'm hoping that Hollywood starts to take more and more independent artists seriously, because that's where the magic is.”
He sharply states that shows like Helluva Boss are the result of fan creations. “Certainly Helluva Boss and Hazbin, I know for a fact, are made by their own fan base,” he states. Ultimately he opines, “That's one thing Hollywood could never do. I mean that, they can spend all the money in the world. That passion of an independent artist is going to deliver a really good project.”
While Helluva Boss Season 3 and 4 don’t have a release date yet, the first two seasons will soon be available on Amazon Prime Video.
