Sesame Street is coming back once again, and it feels like childhood has just knocked on our doors yet another time. The first trailer for the reboot brings back some iconic and well-loved characters such as Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Oscar, and, of course, Elmo!

These characters will return to the famous brownstone, but only this time, they'll be back in a much brighter and more interactive way.

The trailer has music, color, love, and laughter in every single frame, teasing a re-imagined Sesame Street that still carries the same amount of love it did all those years ago. The iconic Muppets are once again ready to teach, sing, and make us smile once more, and we're all here for it!

Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street? Now you can, only on Netflix!

It’s crazy to think that Sesame Street, which first started way back in 1969, is now making its streaming debut via Netflix. The new season (the 56th season) releases on November 10, and it brings to you all your favorite Muppets into a new and digital-age version of the neighborhood we grew up with.

The trailer itself gives off pure joy with Elmo and friends inviting us to step into stories that feel more immersive than ever.

Executive producer Sal Perez explained to The Associated Press that the new season will:

“Invite children into the action” through stories that blend fun with lessons about “kindness and compassion.”

And let’s be honest, this message couldn’t come at a better time. Every episode is now 11 minutes long, giving the writers enough space to add something special to the story.

This reboot is a chance for Sesame Street to grow while staying true to what made it stand out and loved for over fifty years: teaching, laughter, and the world’s most lovable Muppets.

Sunny days, sweeping the clouds away...but with a twist

From the trailer alone, you can tell this isn’t the same kind of Sesame Street your parents or yourself must've grown up watching, but it’s still got that same amount of warmth attached to it, regardless.

The Netflix version has the visuals popping up on your screens even more, the animation feels very new and contemporary, and the stories are made to pull kids right into the world of Big Bird and Elmo. And now, instead of shorter and random segments, the Netflix reboot will be story-driven, which in turn allows the episode you watch to sink in even more than it used to before.

Each of the new episodes will drop in three separate volumes, with the first featuring NASCAR champion Bubba Wallace. Episodes that will be released later on will also bring in Miley Cyrus, who will stop by to join the fun.

But the Netflix reboot is not all about the stars that'll be joining the show. The reboot gives today's kids a solid chance and an exciting medium where they learn about important life concepts like friendship, problem-solving, and how to be kind and cheerful for each other in a way that feels natural and fun.

And now, for the first time ever, Sesame Street will be released in over 30 languages worldwide on Netflix! It will also be released on PBS and PBS KIDS in the U.S.

So, yes! The Muppets are back, and they’re bringing all of the sunshine with them. The new Sesame Street trailer doesn’t just promise a nostalgic trip, but it feels like a reboot that has actually been made for today’s kids (and the grown-ups who still vibe with the theme song).

With new stories, fun music, and old friends waiting, Sesame Street is ready to teach a whole new generation how to keep the clouds and sadness away!
