Seven Dials is an upcoming Netflix series that is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Agatha Christie. The show features an interesting ensemble of characters, led by Helena Bonham Carter, who plays the mother of the story's detective, Lady Bundle Brent.

Set in the 1920s, the show follows Bundle Brent as she investigates the death of Gerry Wade, a man she adored and who was killed the day after he hinted he was going to propose marriage to her. Gerry died in a strange way, with seven alarm clocks being placed on the mantle in his room, and all of them going off at the same time. The show will take us on the journey of Brent finding out who killed Gerry and why.

The trailer for Seven Dials opens with a party where Gerry Wade hints that he wants to propose to Brent soon. We see that they clearly have affection for each other, and both look forward to their engagement. However, that dream is shattered when Brent finds Gerry sleeping while seven clocks go off, irritating the entire house. Unfortunately, Gerry wasn't sleeping through the alarms; he was dead, and no one knows why. As they bury Gerry, Brent tells her mother, Lady Caterham, that she's not going to rest until she finds out who killed him.

We see her realize that the fact that there were seven clocks placed in his room, all of them set to ring at the same time, hinted that someone had a strong motive behind killing him, and that the seven clocks had a bigger meaning. Brent sets out to investigate the murder, despite Superintendent Battle warning her not to investigate the seven dials, as it might be dangerous. But Brent is determined to find the connection between the seven dials and Gerry's death, and despite her mother's warning, saying,

"People who go looking for trouble, usually find it."

Brent keeps investigating, and we see more people die. The trailer, however, ends with a person with a masked face, who is probably the killer. You can find out for yourself when you watch the three-episode series after it is released on Netflix.

The show's synopsis, according to the trailer's description, is

"... a fearless young aristocrat ‘Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent’ investigates the murder of her love interest in her family home. Across 3 episodes, expect the unexpected as well as twists and turns as Bundle races to find the killer - time is running out."

Seven Dials stars Mia McKenna-Bruce as Lady Bundle Brent, Helena Bonham Carter as Lady Caterham, Martin Freeman as Superintendent Battle, Edward Bluemel as Jimmy Thesiger, Nyasha Hatendi as Dr. Cyril Matip, Corey Mylchreest as Gerry Wade, Guy Siner as Tredwell, and Alex Macqueen as George Lomax.

Seven Dials is written by Chris Chibnall and directed by Chris Sweeney. Suzanne Mackie, Sussman, Sweeney, Chibnall, James Prichard, and Andy Stebbing have executive-produced the show. Joanna Crow is the series producer, and the production companies behind the show are Orchid Pictures, Imaginary Friends, and Agatha Christie Limited.

Seven Dials will be released on Netflix on January 15, 2026.
