One of the photos captured Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin) and Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) sitting together in a room with a black-and-white checkered floor, apparently having a chat. These two characters have been part of the show’s main group from the early seasons. Both have grown from small-town kids to young adults forced to deal with supernatural danger. Finn Wolfhard had previously played Richie Tozier in It and It: Chapter One. Apart from the success of King’s novel adaptation, he has also previously featured in Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) and its sequel, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024).
Caleb McLaughlin plays Lucas in Stranger Things. He is one of Will's most trusted friends. Through Seasons 1 and 2, we see him become part of Max's love interests and befriend Eleven.

He becomes more popular in season 4 as a result of joining the Hawkins High basketball team, which briefly puts him at odds with his regular friend group. Caleb kickstarted his career playing young Simba in the Broadway musical The Lion King and then landed small roles in television before landing a major role in Stranger Things.

Shawn Levy’s BTS photos often feel like small love notes to the cast and crew who formed the emotional backbone of Stranger Things. He has directed some of the show’s biggest and most emotional episodes beyond Stranger Things.
Levy has previously worked on Free Guy, The Adam Project, and the Night at the Museum series. His collaborative style is widely admired, and it shows in these photos.
The quieter moments between takes form a deep connection with the audience, inviting them into the supernatural world of Hawkins. With Season 5 Vol. 1 airing, fans' excitement is on the rise, and these BTS images provide the right amount of homage to the process behind Netflix's horror series.
