Kim Kardashian's All's Fair is all set to premiere on November 4, and fans can't keep calm.

This new legal drama, from the very first trailer, promised something new. Talking about her inspiration behind the show, Kim Kardashian, in a conversation with Indulge Express, said,

"Laura (Wesser) happened to be my attorney for two divorces out of the three, and her dad was my mom's attorney during her divorce with my dad."

She added,

"So she has 40 years of stories, and I felt like I drew inspiration from seeing what a bad-ass woman she's been".

Kardashian's performance as attorney Allura Grant in All's Fair is not just a performance. The actress's bond with the character is quite deep as it goes back to her personal life, her divorces, and the lessons she learnt along the way.

According to Indulge Express, Laura Wasser was Kardashian's lawyer during her divorces from Kris Humphries (2013) and Kanye West (2022). Kardashian's Allura Grant bears a striking resemblance to Laura Wasser.

In a separate conversation with People Magazine, Kardashian reminisced that Wasser’s father had also been her mother’s attorney and thus their family had connections going back to the 1960s.

The premise of All’s Fair

All’s Fair is all about a team of female divorce attorneys who, disgusted by the discrimination of the male-dominated law firm in Los Angeles, decide to start their own practice instead.

Kim plays the character of Allura Grant, a lawyer who has an important part in changing the situation. The series is created by Ryan Murphy and has a fantastic cast, including Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts and Teyana Taylor. The release of the first episode is scheduled for November 4, 2025.

Kim Kardashian has been in law training for quite some time now and is practicing through an apprenticeship for the California bar exam. People Magazine states that she managed to combine her studies with acting and that her real-life legal training gave her an advantage in the portrayal on television.

This background provides context for her role in All's Fair: Portraying a powerful divorce attorney is not just a costume; it corresponds with the real work she has been doing. This, in turn, makes the show's representation of legal settings, client-lawyer relationships and divorce consequences more believable.

Though All's Fair could have been just another legal drama with a standard storyline, it becomes an even richer story with the help of real-life mentorship, personal legal experience and a showrunner (Ryan Murphy) who is famous for character-driven storytelling.

Kim Kardashian’s portrayal of Allura Grant, powered by Laura Wasser’s long-term career and her own legal journey, gives the show its most valuable trait of being genuine.
