1) Dyon Brooks as Basil

Actor Dyon Brooks essays the role of Basil in the series. He works as the driver for Antoinette and is also the partner of Shamika. Basil is not really good at what he is hired for. However, because of his relationship with Shamika, he continues to work for Antoinette.

Apart from Brooks' role in She the People, the actor has starred in A Naughty Christmess Story (2023), Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told (2024), and Top of the City (2025).

2) Drew Olivia Tillman as Lola Dunkerson

Drew Olivia Tillman portrays the role of Lola Dunkerson. Daughter of Antoinette, Drew is a bit of a rebellious child. She also does not show much interest in politics or media attention.

Apart from Tillman's role in the series, she has starred in Roxanne Roxanne (2017), FBI (2018), and This Is Us (2018-2019).

3) Jo Marie Payton as Cleo Dunkerson

Veteran actor Jo Marie Payton embodies the role of Antoinette's mother, Cleo Dunkerson. She is also an aunt to Shamika. Cleo is an eccentric character as well as a frisky one, as she goes to the lengths of supporting her daughter by spreading out pamphlets about Antoinette's campaign, even at funerals!

Apart from Payton's role in She the People, the actor has worked in Perfect Strangers (1987-1989), The Proud Family (2001-2005), Mann & Wife (2015-2016), The Little Mermaid (2018), The Beach Bum (2019), and many more.

4) Jade Novah as Shamika Latavia Latoya Farrah Dunkerson

Actor Jade Novah essays the role of Shamika in the series. She is Antoinette's cousin and is very close to her. Shamika is a straightforward person. She is also romantically connected to Basil.

Apart from Jade Novah's role as Shamika in the series, the prominent singer and actor has voiced the sitcom The Simpsons (2023) and has also starred in the show 30 Days 2 Life. This series is Novah's first stint as an actor. Her music albums include All Blue (2018), Stages (2020), and Where Have I Been? (2024).

5) Terri J. Vaughn as Antoinette Dunkerson

Terri J. Vaughn essays the role of Governor Antoinette in the series. In her office, she has to deal with the bigoted Governor, and at home, her peculiar family.
