The show debuted on October 17 and is set in the same fictional town of Edgewater in North Carolina as its flagship series. It follows a new Sheriff, Mickey Fox, as she investigates criminal activity in her community, while dealing with her ex-convict father and daughter.

Sheriff Country Episode 5 Expecting Trouble aired on CBS on November 14. The official synopsis of the episode reads as follows:

A high-stakes transport mission puts Mickey and Boone on edge as they race against time to protect a vulnerable witness.

Episode 5 saw Mickey and Boone on a dangerous task as they struggled to transport an important witness, Val Fulton, while a hitman tailed them.

Here is the complete Episode 5 Expecting Trouble cast.

Sheriff Country Episode 5 cast: Meet the main actors who brought ‘Expecting Trouble’ on screen

Naturally, the leading lady, Morena Baccarin, led the Sheriff Country Episode 5 cast as Mickey Fox. Baccarin's character was first introduced in Fire Country as Sharon's stepsister. The actress then went on to lead her own spin-off series. Episode 4 Expecting Trouble was a particularly dangerous case for Mickey Fox as she was tasked with transporting a vulnerable witness out of Edgewater, while a hitman chased after them. Baccarin is steadily building her on-screen presence as Mickey and each episode brings a new side of her character.

Next on the list of Episode 5 Expecting Trouble cast is Matt Lauria, who plays the character of Nathan Boone, Mickey's partner and the community's Deputy. Boone was an important part of Mickey's journey on the road with the witness, which also gave him some time to think about his rash resignation and he apologized to Mickey. The episode ended with the surprise reveal of Boone's marriage, after his wife paid him a surprise visit from Oakland.

Lastly, the main actor who had a shining subplot in Sheriff Country Episode 5 Expecting Trouble is actress Michele Weaver, who plays Cassidy Campbell, another deputy in Edgewater. With Mickey on the road, Cassidy was left in charge of the station. While the deputy was initially struggling, she eventually got some good advice and quickly rose to the situation and helped a domestic abuse victim in need.
