Sistas season 9 dives right back in where it left off. The new season, which premiered on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 9 PM ET/PT on BET and BET+, begins with Karen going into labor. That single moment sets the tone for the entire 22-episode season. The emotional fallout affects everyone. Andi is still processing her kidnapping, unsure if she’s ready to return to work or even be around people.

Danni is caught between a fragile new relationship and the pressure of maintaining her sobriety while building her law career. Sabrina’s walls are up again after being hurt, and Fatima becomes the steady force holding everyone together.

Filming finished in Atlanta this past May, and Tyler Perry, still directing, writing, and producing, brings back several familiar faces from Zatima and lays the foundation for the planned Divorced Sistas spinoff.

The trailer, which was released on July 14, previewed scenes from the hospital emergency, intense court arguments, and conflicts that won't likely settle anytime soon. Along with familiar characters returning, Season 9 introduces new figures, including Dr. Vaughn, Roc, and Nia, all of whom create personal and professional tension that could change everything for the main group.
