What to expect from Episode 5 of Smoke?

Episode 4 of Smoke opens with an unusual word: Transmogrification. The funny-sounding word means changing drastically, sometimes in a grotesque or bizarre way. Fitting, right?

Freddy is no longer the hopeful guy we once saw. He shaves his head and beard, trying to disappear, physically and mentally. The transformation isn’t just skin-deep; he is slipping further into darkness.

Dave's mask is slipping in Smoke. We have always known something was off, but this episode confirms it: He is not just suspicious, he is the arsonist.

Michelle is picking up on all the red flags. Dave’s words, his body language, even his fire safety speech, everything points to him being behind the fires.

Who better to teach about fire safety than... an arsonist? Yes, Dave gives a serious presentation about preparing for chaos, in front of people who have no idea he is causing it.

Michelle meets her brother who has cleaned up a bit. Their talk leads her to a genius idea, using cheap chicken tags to track the infamous "Milk Jug" arsonist.

Dave gets a little personal. He talks about being abandoned by his mom, cheating on his wives, and even flirts with Michelle. It is clear he's looking for connection, but in all the wrong ways.

Dave makes a creepy move on Michelle, books a suite, flirting like he is on a dating app and not at work. Michelle brushes him off, but the vibe is unsettling.

She uses the opportunity to dig into Dave’s past and learns about Espazito, a former partner who believed Dave was an arsonist.

Freddy doesn’t get the job he hoped for in Smoke. He returns to Brenda, asking her to help him become invisible again. The final shot? Freddy hoarding milk jugs filled with what looks like fuel. Something big is coming.

Now that Michelle has more dirt on Dave, we might finally see her confront him. Sparks could fly, literally and emotionally.

We are still waiting for John Leguizamo to appear, likely playing Espazito. His entry could be explosive (pun intended).

Freddy’s hoard of milk jugs hints at a big fire, maybe revenge against the man who interviewed him or something bigger?

From Freddy’s downward spiral to Dave’s sinister charm, every character keeps us guessing, and you never quite know where the show going. One moment you are watching a fire safety lecture, the next you are seeing literal stomach-fire play. Wild.

The show’s cast is top-tier, and they’re giving it their all.

Smoke Episode 4 left us with burning questions and suspense that’s ready to explode in Episode 5. With release day around the corner, fans should gear up for what might be the biggest twist yet. Michelle is close to connecting the dots, Dave is slipping, and Freddy… well, Freddy is about to light up something huge.
