Solar Opposites Season 6 ended on a satisfying note as the beloved animated alien family bids goodbye in the most dramatic way imaginable. The Hulu series, created by Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan, revolves around an alien family, who are seen navigating through the many challenges they face on Earth. The finale episode titled ‘What Is The Mission Anyway?' sees the family come together one last time to tackle the malicious SilverCops.
Solar Opposites had premiered on the streaming platform in May 2020 and has an ensemble voice cast including Dan Stevens, Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone, Mary Mack, Sagan McMahan, Tiffany Haddish and Kari Wahlgren among others. Season 6 and the final season of the series premiered on October 13, 2025, with 10 episodes.
Solar Opposites Season 6 finale sees the family settling into their new roles
Everything is going perfect in the Opposites household. Terry is basking in success as Hollywood comes calling, thanks to Terry’s book. Yumyulack and Jesse are trying to get their college admission going.
But Solar Opposites Season 6 finale episode takes a turn when the Pupa starts growing fangs and attacks the family. As the Pupa bites Terry and Korvo, Jesse will use garlic to throw the Pupa away. They contemplate reasons, which are causing Pupa to behave this delirious. But they come up empty handed. When Terry suggests that Pupa can be sent to the space using the pod, Korvo says that they used it for Glen Kumstein, their once neighbour.
In space, Glen adopted the name Dodge Charger and joined the GoldCops. Glen is then sent on a secret mission to SilverCops to track their funding. He has to travel to Earth for this covert operation. SilverCops are on a mission to get the Pupa and end the Opposites family.
Solar Opposites Season 6 finale has Pupa terraforming
Solar Opposites Season 6 finale episode sees the family on the ship still figuring Pupa’s bizarre outburst. Jesse shares that an emotional filter was installed previously. Jesse heads to the air vent to restore it but learns that it had soaked in the family’s flaws. The Blank Boy however starts to demolish the bridge. As the family scatters in confusion, they realize that the only way to defeat Blank Boy is to overfeed it with emotions, leading to his explosion.
The one good thing in all the confusion was that Pupa, is slowly getting back to normal. Pupa becomes a huge snake instead. On the other hand, SilverCops are getting closer to Earth. It is in fact SilverCops who made Pupa take the shape of the snake. Glen is getting antsy and ends up revealing about GoldCop rat within, which ultimately ends up with SilverCops turning hostile with each other.
Funnily, the family has no clue what is happening with Pupa and instead come up with their own theories. They end up in California after Korvo wonders if it is his problem with Chris, the Red Goobler, which caused it. Chris does not believe that Korvo is there is make up for the dispute between them. Korvo is forced to go through several traps in Chris’s house, which puts Korvo in painful position. But seeing that Korvo is trying, the two reconcile. Suddenly Pupa is back to himself.
SilverCops have now turned the Pupa into a vicious creature, which happens while Pupa is seated in the backseat of the car. Dodge could not keep away his secrets anymore and ends up revealing his role in GoldCop.
Solar Opposites Season 6 finale episode finds the family in a complex dilemma as they are back to square one trying to figure out what is causing Pupa’s transformation. At their house, Korvo determines that the reason could be bigger than a menial dispute. The family manages to settle Pupa finally. Their plan to make the world a better place takes a backseat as they watch television together.
SilverCops plan is revealed in Solar Opposites Season 6 finale
In the Solar Opposites Season 6 episode, Glen is having a terrible time onboard the SilverCops ship. They want Glen to be a double agent but secretly plan to end him along with the Opposites family after getting the Pupa. SilverCops come to Opposites house, where they attack them. They will not only neutralize Aisha but also take hold of Pupa.
It is revealed that it was SilverCops who had made AI system Aisha and terraforming Pupas are part of an elaborate scam to make quick money. Planet Shlorps, which was frequently hit by asteroids was used by SilverCorps to harvest resources. As SilverCops get ready to kill Glen, he reveals that he was wearing a backup wire for GoldCops, who arrive just in time and take control of the situation. Glen will later tell the family that he has been living an good life in space and they have nothing to feel bad about.
As the Solar Opposites Season 6 finale episode comes to an end, it is revealed that Jesse and Yumyulack get into college and Terry’s in the process to make his Hollywood dreams come true. Korvo takes on the assignment to share the news about SilverCops to Shlorpians. Meanwhile Pupa is being chased by Korvo as Pupa tries to eat an orb with Solar Opposites.
