After finalizing the designs, she shared:"So now that the design is complete on the main house, we have not put all of our focus onto this cottage. It is like a guest cottage. It is one bedroom. Really, on the exterior, everything's gonna stay pretty much the same. All we're gonna do is change the exterior paint color, but we're gonna keep the roof."For the insides, the Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House star noted that it was a bit more masculine. So it needed some feminine touches to balance it. For that, she discussed texture and color. For that, she wanted to add more delicate accessories, such as brass. She noted that it would help balance the tone. We're in the mountains. We think, for winter, a cozy fire is a dream. Then I'm gonna put two windows on both sides. Because the view is the most beautiful thing. Everywhere you look, hopefully there's a window and a view," added Joanna.Further, she mentioned that green was her favorite color and that it didn't feel "too punchy" in that cottage. Hence, they planned on using it as much as they could. She mentioned that they were going to keep the existing wood floors.The roof was going to be green as she wanted it to be a little cozy.
