U-yeon’s dysfunctional family finally faces off their complications in Spirit Fingers
The final episode of Spirit Fingers begins with Gi-jeong worrying about U-yeon. The scene cuts to U-yeon’s family. U-yeon’s father returns home in a sour mood. Her mother tells her not to speak unnecessarily and to “read the room”. It can be understood that their family is going through a difficult situation. While having dinner, U-dol gets irritated and begins to leave.
However, his father gets angry and scolds him. U-yeon tries to make her brother understand the situation. However, U-dol says that their father gets angry because of their mother. He begins to blame their mother. The next day, U-dol’s teacher calls his mother to inform her that he did not attend the exam.
She gets worried as she herself saw U-dol enter the exam hall. She begins to search for her son frantically. Right then, U-dol arrives. His mother asks him about the situation, but U-dol behaves rudely.
U-dol tells his mother that she is a fraudster because she lied about her ballet being fake. He also tells her that she will abandon him if he fails to study, just as she tore the drawings that U-yeon did. It can be understood that U-dol was deeply impacted by the whole situation, causing him to lash out. U-seok intervenes when he hears U-dol misbehaving with his mother, causing his father to get angry.
However, this in turn transforms the whole situation into further complicated turmoil, which makes U-yeon understand that each and every one had their own sufferings, even her seemingly perfect brother. As this episode of Spirit Fingers continues, U-seok tells U-yeon that he wanted to take pictures after going to Africa. His dream was to become a photographer. His words perfectly capture the care he has for his sister. He does not want his sister to regret not fulfilling her dreams.
Throughout this episode of Spirit Fingers, the aspect of delivering heartwarming messages leaves an impact. After speaking with her brother, U-yeon returns home. She decides to speak to U-dol but does not find her. She gets worried and begins searching for her throughout the house. Gi-jeong also finds out that U-dol is missing.
Gi-jeong tries to call U-dol to ask him about his whereabouts. Instead of directly asking, he tells him that he needs his advice about dating U-yeon, so they should meet. U-dol sends him the location, Gi-jeong. The scene cuts to U-dol waiting for Bong-gu inside a park. U-dol tells Bong-gu that he has come to say goodbye as he is leaving home.
While they are playing on the swing, Bong-gu gets hurt accidentally. Gi-jeong arrives at the right time and takes the two of them to the hospital. U-dol’s family arrives at the hospital. U-dol’s mother apologizes to him, which makes U-dol finally forgive her and cry in her arms.
U-yeon introduces Gi-jeong to her family as her boyfriend. Before her parents can get angry, she runs away with Gi-jeong. U-yeon apologizes to Gi-jeong for putting him through a difficult time. At the end of this episode of Spirit Fingers, U-yeon and her mother begin to speak about Gi-jeong while eating. However, their discussion gets heated, which causes U-yeon to get angry.
U-yeon’s mother then begins to speak about her ballet. She tells her that she had a talent for ballet, which was often envied by her friends. She decided to give her old ballet shoes to a classmate who could not afford them. However, the student kept following the path of ballet.
She became successful, which U-yeon’s mother could not do. This was because she lost it all when she got framed for an accident that she did not cause. This caused her to quit ballet. Instead of getting scared, U-yeon gets even more dedicated to following her dream.
U-dol finally got back his happy self, along with U-yeon. U-yeon’s mother even gave her money to pay the fee for her institute for three months. She also tells her to buy new brushes, canvas, and the things she requires for her classes. U-yeon’s relationship with her father also began to grow closer. At the very end of this episode of Spirit Fingers, U-yeon goes to the last meeting of the Spirit Fingers group. This episode ends with a happy note, tying the storyline together.
