Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is an upcoming adult action-thriller animated series that will appear on Netflix in October 2025. It is based on the legendary stealth-action video game series Splinter Cell, created by Tom Clancy.

Sam Fisher is one of the primary characters of the show, and his character is voiced by an unknown actor. He is a retired secret agent who is lured into spy work once again when another international threat threatens the world.

The series is a dark, cinematic version of redemption, loyalty, and a new war. Like the franchise’s stealth heritage, it explores how it feels to live its life in the shadows.

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch season 1 consists of eight episodes, which last about 25-30 minutes, bringing viewers a dark story of spies and deceit. The introductory episodes, including Up from the Grave, Dinner First, Talk Later, and Scars of Bagram, restore the setting of the world of Fisher, whose newly created Fourth Echelon has global cyber dangers and rogue agents. Fisher is brought back into the field when a young wounded agent comes to him in need of help, and he has to not only fight enemy networks but also deal with ghosts of the past.

The climax is a high-tension one; the last parts of the film (Chaos Theory Parts 1 and 2) give it. It does not need to be said that, without going into the details of the spoilers, it is obvious that the arc named the Chaos Theory connects several story lines, including the plot about people betraying one another in the ranks and the plot about a conspiracy that penetrates deep into the realm of international intelligence. This is the emotional climax of Fisher mentoring his little protégé, Zinnia McKenna, and symbolizes the torch being handed over to the next generation.

Although the resolution provides closure to the conflict of the moment, it deliberately leaves many strands hanging at the end, a characteristic of the Tom Clancy-style narration. The last few minutes lead the audience to hints of an even larger geopolitical meltdown that is soon to occur in the near future, which preconditions Season 2. Moral dilemmas, undercover missions, and probably the reappearance of allies and enemies long lost can be expected by the fans.

Cast of Splinter Cell: Deathwatch Season 1

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch has a voice cast headed by Liev Schreiber as Sam Fisher, who lends gravitas and emotion control to the character that is played by Michael Ironside in the games. Janet Varney plays the role of Anna Grimsdottir, sometimes referred to as Grim, a longtime technical strategist of Fisher who has been in Fourth Echelon.

Kirby Howell-Baptiste's portrayal of Zinnia McKenna, the young operative with a spirited character, is the heart of the emotional burden of the season through her relationship with Fisher.

The supporting roles are Thunder, played by Joel Oulette, and Miranda Raison in recurring guest roles. On the other hand, guided by Guillaume Dousse and animated by Sun Creature, every episode has cinematic polish.
