Does Thanos return in Squid Game Season 3? Min-su's hallucination explored

Among the most interesting players in Squid Game Season 2 is Thanos, whose real name is Choi Su‑bong. He's introduced in the third episode as a flamboyant, purple‑haired rapper who jumped into the games after losing everything to a cryptocurrency scheme promoted by YouTuber Lee Myung‑gi.

He’s an influencer‑turned‑contestant, deeply in debt and involved in narcotics, and brazen violence to dominate the field. Unlike other players, Thanos is a completely carefree contestant who consumes narcotic pills just when a game is about to start.

This is how he managed to survive in the games, but was later killed in a violent bathroom confrontation. Since his death, fans have been speculating whether Thanos would return in the final season.

As mentioned above, he did make an appearance in Squid Game Season 3, but in Min-su's hallucination. In the last games, Sky Squid Game Min-su is panicking because he ate all Thanos' leftover pills, and now he's tasked with surviving again.

The dead rapper appears in his hallucination in Squid Game Season 3 Episode 5 and says:

"Min-su. My brother, I missed you. Please help me, Min-su. Do you need more pills? I'll give you some."

Thanos says this as Min-su sees him hanging on the edge of the tower and asking for help. This is because Min-su didn't help Thanos in the brutal fight in season 2, and has always been a scared and anxious player.
