Stephen Colbert, in the latest episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, gave a shout-out to Netflix to reach him in June, referring to the CBS show's cancellation. It didn't take long for Colbert to start making jokes about his show's cancellation. Now that his show has been canceled but left on air until June 2026, Colbert is taking this opportunity to fire all his shots, no holds barred.

The Netflix shout-out came at the end of a skit by Colbert where he played Wittle Pwince Jade, in response to a story about J.D. Vance by the Daily Beast. Colbert is using his last few appearances on the CBS show before the summer hiatus and the show's end to make all the jokes possible about the cancellation and the state of American affairs.

In a recent episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Colbert took inspiration from South Park's portrayal of J.D. Vance to present a new skit. The skit referenced a story about Vance, where he reportedly demanded the water levels to be raised in an Ohio river, owing to his birthday party.

Colbert performed a skit with a cutout of Vance's face as a mask and demonstrated Vance as a baby, making demands and throwing tantrums:

"This is such an insane, spoiled-baby emperor move that I have no choice but to break out my new character: Wittle Pwince Vance"

Colbert then went on to perform as his new character, making a series of demands, and throwing a tantrum if those demands weren't fulfilled properly:

"Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye! I want my wiver waised for my birthday! Also, I don’t like how bwue the sky is, paint it wed! Now, give me juice box." adds whinigly "Not fwuit juice — apple! Kill him! Kill him!"

While the audience was drowning Colbert with the noise of their laughter, he took off the mask, looked straight into the camera, and gave a shout-out to Netflix, asking them to call him in June, when his show is set to come to an end.

"Netflix, call me. I'm available in June."

He also added later:

"I will also entertain offers from Amazon."

All of these comments regarding the streaming networks have been made in reference to the CBS announcement that Colbert's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is set to end in May 2026. The cancellation was labelled as a financial move, owing to the changing trends in the entertainment industry, but the decision has been critically received by the internet.

Nevertheless, Colbert seems to be using the little time he has left on the stage effectively, as it is set to go into hiatus and return in May 2026, with only a month left before the cancellation.
