Apple TV's Stick has been foreshadowing Jett Cahill, Pryce's son, as a major traumatic part of Pryce's past throughout the first few episodes. Pryce Cahill is a former pro golf player whose golf career ended owing to his breakdown at Sawgrass in 2009, and instead, he turned into a coach for Santi, a teenage golf prodigy.

The Apple TV+ show Stick has been referring to Pryce's past and the wounds he still carries with him to this day, without giving any details about them. However, it appears as if the show is slowly revealing Pryce's past, the trauma he carries, and how Santi might be the key for Pryce to reexamine his life, his past, and all the hurt. Pryce's son Jett appears to have died at a very young age, leading to a chain of events where Pryce ends up unravelling his life and his career. Here's what we know about Pryce's son Jett.

Apple TV's Stick hasn't exactly been forthcoming with the details about Pryce's past in the three episodes that the show premiered with. However, we do know that his past is full of unresolved regret and darkness, which continues to be a big part of who he is right now. Pryce's golf career ended owing to his breakdown at Sawgrass in 2009, when he ended up getting into a physical altercation with his playing partner, Clark Ross, and ended up punching him, effectively ending his career.

It was around this time that Pryce and Amber's marriage fell apart, and they ended up getting divorced. We see Mitts, Pryce's friend, and Amber both imply that coaching Santi would not bring back his son Jett, making it clear that Jett has died. In episode 3 of Stick, Pryce is seen watching some home videos from when he was married to Amber, and his son Jett was still alive. The videos only go up till Jett's fourth birthday when Pryce stops the videos and is extremely emotional. This might mean that Jett had died at a very young age.

It might even be possible that Jett's death is the action that led to Pryce's life and career to completely unravel in Stick. His son's death at a young age would have put Pryce under extreme emotional turmoil and tantrums, and the physical altercation with Clark would make a lot more sense if he was breaking down with grief over the loss of his child.

If this is how the events unfolded, Pryce has a lot of emotional trauma that he hasn't dealt with, and such is the case with Santi, whose father walked out on him, so maybe these two are perfect for each other to help them through their traumatic past in Stick.

The show premiered with three episodes that are available to stream on Apple TV+, and new episodes will release every Wednesday on Apple TV+.
