If you are a fan of the Goosebumps writer R. L. Stine, you might have read the anthology series, Stinetinglers. Like most of Stine's work, each Stinetinglers' book is a collection of short horror stories meant for the entertainment of elementary and middle school children.

Stine's other stories have been adapted into films and television shows in the past, but for the first time, a work of his will be adapted into an animated series. As Deadline reports, Limestone Animation, a new animation studio, is adapting Stine's Stinetinglers into an animated series.

Stineringlers are getting adapted into an animated series

The first Stinetinglers was published in 2022, which was titled 'Stinetinglers: All New Stories by the Master of Scary Tales.' That was followed by three more books, published in 2023, 2024, and 2025, respectively. The books are published by Friends/Macmillan and Feiwel. A fifth volume of the anthology series will be published in 2026.

Sean Connolly and Donnie MacIntyre are executive producing the animated series under their animation studio, Limestone Animation. As Deadline reports, speaking about the upcoming animated series, Connolly and MacIntyre jointly stated:

“We’re honored that R.L. Stine has trusted us with his latest book series. Stinetinglers is the perfect project to launch our studio with because it represents everything we want Limestone Animation to be; the home of creative storytelling that is bold, imaginative, and designed to bring audiences of all ages together.”

R. L. Stine is renowned for his work in horror, and Limestone Animation has to keep quite a few things in mind since they are launching their studio by adapting his work. Yvonne and Dan Bernard will also executive produce the animated series under their banner, Lookout Entertainment. Other executive producers are R.L. Stine and Eric Birnberg.

As Deadline reports, speaking about his latest work getting adapted into an animated series, R. L. Stine said:

"Animation is the perfect medium to tell the twisted tales of Stinetinglers”

He continued:

“These spooky stories will be brought to life in a way unlike any of my work before. But more than that, I was blown away by the unique spin the team at Limestone Animation proposed and I immediately knew they were the right partners to bring to screen my newest stories.”

Other R. L. Stine stories that have been adapted into media include the Goosebumps (1995) television series produced by Steven S. Levitan, the 2023 Goosebumps television series, a feature film called Goosebumps (2015), and its sequel, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween (2018).

The Goosebumps stories have also been adapted into games like, Goosebumps: Escape from Horrorland (1996), Goosebumps: Attack of the Mutant (1997), Goosebumps: HorrorLand (2008), Goosebumps: The Game (2015), Goosebumps: Night of Scares (2015), Goosebumps: Horror Town (2018), Goosebumps: Dead of Night (2020), and Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek (2025).

The Stinetinglers animated series is yet to get an official name. It is still in the early stages of development, so it is hard to tell exactly which stories are going to be part of the series. Stay tuned for more updates.
