Volume One of Stranger Things season five has already had fans wondering what more of the Upside Down is left unseen. Volume Two will drop this Christmas on Netflix, and the grand finale is coming on New Year. And, to be honest, it feels like there's still plenty left to uncover.
The trailer of Volume Two is now live on YouTube. It shows that the "lost sister," Kali (Linnea Berthelsen), aka Eight, is back in action after Hopper (David Harbour) and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) found her tied up in a facility set up in the Upside Down by the military.
It will be interesting to see what havoc Eleven and Eight are to wreak in there. Add Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) to this equation, and you’ve got a trio that Henry Creel/One/Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) will likely face in the final showdown.
However, there are some more characters in Stranger Things that the creators could've utilized better, and that would've been much more fun to see in an already gripping story. So, we have narrowed five of them down for this list. Let's see who they are.
See those 5 underrated Stranger Things characters
Dmitri Antonov (Tom Wlaschiha)
Things got really heated up when everyone thought that Jim Hopper died after Joyce (Winona Ryder) turned those keys and destroyed that machine. However, he was taken to prison in the Soviet Union. There, he made a deal to escape with Dmitri Antonov, who agreed for a certain sum of money.
The story could've used him more, as he is one reliable man who made sure, despite being compromised, that Jim Hopper got out of that hellhole alive.
Suzie Bingham (Gabriella Pizzolo)
Of all the nerds, Dustin's (Gaten Matarazzo) mysterious girlfriend, Suzie, from Salt Lake City, is someone who needs more screentime in Stranger Things. She can solve problems that none of the leading four nerds of the show could. And that is also why Mike and the team in Season Four made it all the way to her house to learn the location of Project NINA. Though she wasn't aware of what she was doing, she did find it.
Sam Owens (Paul Reiser)
Eleven might have two Papas in Stranger Things, but Sam Owens is someone who equally deserves this title. That would've made it a supernatural Mamma Mia! without Amanda Seyfried. He was always on her side and made sure that she didn't get into trouble when Brenner (Matthew Modine) was trying to get her powers back.
Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery)
Some of the Stranger Things characters got a fair share of hate until their final moments. Billy Hargrove was one of them. Max (Sadie Sink) always hated him as a brother, but it wasn't until his sacrifice while fighting that creature that totally changed our perspective. He was certainly one badass and, without a doubt, made a kickass addition to the creatures-fighting team.
Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn)
Out of all the underrated characters in Stranger Things, we believe that Joseph Quinn's Eddie Munson was on top of this list. Without a doubt, if he had chosen to go by the book and stick with the plan, he would've been one hell of a fighter, sending those bats to hell with his nail-laden shield.
So, these are our picks for the list. Tell us in the comments if there are more underrated characters in Stranger Things that the show underutilized.
