Hopper is still willing to throw himself into danger and is always having a Suicide off with himself for Eleven. Steve keeps pushing his luck, absorbing hit after hit. Plot armor really lives for Steve the hair Harrington.

And Vecna remains the center of it all, the threat that has to end for any peace to exist. The finale feels less about surprise deaths and more about hard choices.
