Anthony Q. Farrell is known for having recently completed the production of the new Paramount+/Game TV comedy Hate the Player. He therefore joins the new show as a helmer. Farrell is based in Toronto and knows a thing or two about the popular game of cricket. He mentions that, “growing up on the island of St. Kitts, I picked up a cricket bat way before I got into baseball. The sport has adapted and grown so much in the last 25 years, and a series like Strikers is long overdue. I’m grateful to be joining Dana and Bobby on this hilarious and heartwarming show that they’ve created.”

Abraham and Berk also state that, “It’s an absolute privilege to welcome Anthony to Strikers. His award-winning resume speaks for itself, but it’s his ability to execute at the highest level while finding the heart and humor in every story that makes him the perfect fit for our series.”

The show focuses on cricket, and the game has become a worldwide phenomenon. The show will target a global audience, but especially target South Asia, where cricket is nothing less than a religion. Especially since cricket is set to make a comeback at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. The bat and ball game is like baseball and is extremely popular with the rise of billion-dollar leagues like the Indian Premier League.

The additional cast for the show will be announced later, and Range Media and WME are attracting Strikers to international buyers, with initial broadcast and streaming partners being sought to license the series ahead of production. Other territories will then be sold after the show is completed.
