Stuck in the Middle is a family comedy Disney series that aired on the Disney Channel for three seasons from 2016 to 2018. It was created by Alison Brown and developed by Alison Brown and Linda Videtti Figueiredo. The show followed Harley Diaz, the middle child of the Diaz family, who invents gadgets to make living in a big family a smoother experience.

Jenna Ortega as Harley Diaz

Jenna Ortega played Harley Diaz, the middle of seven children who likes to invent new gadgets. She is the protagonist of Stuck in the Middle and also the narrator, who tends to break the fourth wall to tell the viewers something about what's happening in the show at that moment. Some of her known inventions are the Conveyor Belt Table, the Slushinator, the Skate Kite, the Pick-Me-Up, and a snow machine.

Jenna Ortega has recently starred as Wednesday Addams in Wednesday (2022-present), Anima in Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025), and as Ridley Kintner in Death of a Unicorn (2025).

Ronni Hawk as Rachel Diaz

Ronni Hawk played Rachel Diaz, the oldest of the seven children and Harley's older sister. In Season 3, Rachel left the family to attend an international college program in Paris, France, where she also pursued an internship. While she was not seen much in the rest of the third season, she returned in the series finale to help the family celebrate Harley's quinceañera.

Isaak Presley as Ethan Diaz

Isaak Presley played Ethan Diaz, Harley's oldest brother, who was the third oldest of all the siblings and Harley's best friend. He was an aspiring musician and filmmaker. Ethan was the most logical sibling who wasn't impulsive and thought things through, and was thus the one who gave the best advice.

Ariana Greenblatt as Daphne Diaz

Ariana Greenblatt played the youngest of the seven siblings, Daphne Diaz. She enjoyed having tea time with her dolls and sleeping in her indoor dollhouse. Despite being the youngest, Daphne was the scariest because she would often blackmail her siblings and make them do whatever she wanted. She even hurt her siblings emotionally and sometimes physically when she did not get her way.

After Stuck in the Middle, Ariana Greenblatt has starred as Sasha in Barbie (2023), Tiny Tina in Borderlands (2024), Christy Renault in Fear Street: Prom Queen (2025) and will star as June in Now You See Me: Now You Don't (2025).

Kayla Maisonet as Georgie Diaz

Kayla Maisonet played Georgie Diaz, one of Harley's older sisters and the second oldest of the seven. She played basketball at her school and participated in a variety of other sports despite not being good at them. While Grogie wasn't the most smart of the siblings, she was loving, kind, and positive. She helped Harley out at times.

After Stuck in the Middle, Kayla Maisonet has starred as Izzy in Speechless (2018-2019) and as a guest star in shows like Diary of a Future President (2021), NCIS: Origins (2025), and The Rookie (2025).

Nicolas Bechtel and Malachi Bartonas as Lewie and Beast Diaz

Nicolas Bechtel and Malachi Bartonas played Lewie and Beast Diaz, Harley's two younger brothers who were twins. Lewie is older than Beast by five minutes and is often the one who plans the notorious acts the twins are known for. Meanwhile, Beast is the wild and somewhat less intelligent brother, who usually follows Lewie and does what he suggests.

After Stuck in the Middle, Malachi Bartonas has starred as young Diego in Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2019), Victor in Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires (2025), and Colby Madden / Flashform in The Villains of Valley View (2022-2023). Cerina Vincent played Suzy Diaz, Harley's mother, who rarely has any alone time from her children and tends to spend it in the most unlikely places. Suzy is the one who usually punishes the kids, from grounding them to putting them on lockdown for more severe violations.

Joe Nieves played Tom Diaz, Harley's father, who is the proprietor of a marina store which sells camping and fishing equipment. While he is a loving and caring father, he does tend to get upset when his kids let him down in any way. He is also the parent who doesn't enforce much rules on his children and is the fun one. He is easier to convince about something than his wife Suzy.

After Stuck in the Middle, Joe Nieves has starred in guest roles in Modern Family, NCIS, Blue Bloods – Crime Scene New York, and How I Met Your Father.

The recurring cast of Stuck in the Middle includes Lauren Pritchard as Bethany Peters, Lulu Lambros as Ellie Peters, Brett Pierce as Cuff, and Joshua Bassett as Aidan.
