Set to release on 18th July 2025, Superstar is an upcoming Netflix biographical television series about Tamara, the Spanish pop singer. Created and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, Ingrid García-Jonsson stars as Tamara. The YouTube description of the trailer describes the show as:
"In the early 2000s, a comet crossed Spain.
"That shooting star brought us a cast of characters no one ever took seriously, yet they burst onto the covers and stages of the most talked-about shows of the time. At the heart of it all was Tamara (Ingrid García-Jonsson), a true superstar who never changed to fit in. Always by her side was her mother, Margarita Seisdedos (Rocío Ibáñez), as they made their way through the most controversial TV programs of the era. Orbiting around them were other equally unclassifiable figures: Leonardo Dantés (Secun de la Rosa), Loly Álvarez (Natalia de Molina), Paco Porras (David Areces), and Arlequín (Julián Villagrán). Together, they formed a bizarre and unforgettable media constellation."

The series Superstar is going to explore a fictionalized version of her life and career as she, her mother, and others around them in the media industry face challenges.

Netflix describes the show as,
Set deep in the chaos of the early 2000s, this series reimagines the life of pop icon Tamara-and her metamorphosis into Yurena -as never seen before.
Interestingly, the show will explore Tamara's journey as she becomes Yurena, which began in 2001. In 2001, Tamara collaborated with singer Alaska to release Superestar, a 14-track studio album featuring artists like Carlos Berlanga and Nacho Canut. Gaining popularity as a disco icon, she built a strong following in club scenes and made history as one of the few women to appear on the cover of Zero magazine.
However, her rising fame was followed by personal struggles, including public scandals and suicide attempts. Legal issues soon arose when bolero singer Tamara Macarena Valcárcel Serrano sued her over the use of the name "Tamara." She briefly adopted the name Ambar before finally adopting Yurena as her stage name.
Superstar is going to be released on Netflix on 18th July 2025.
