Besides, the fact that the show will be written by this talented trio, Atomic Cartoons' contribution will also be significant in making the show a hit. Atomic Cartoons has been working with a multitude of animated movies and TV shows through the years.

With each project, there is always a distinct uniqueness that becomes a striking feature for the viewers. Some of the other projects that Atomic Cartoons worked with are The Last Kids on Earth, Atomic Betty, Transformers: Rescue Bots, Beat Bugs, and many more.

The CEO of Atomic, Twiner McCarron, opened up about his eagerness to work on the creation of the Surf’s Up series. It is rare to see projects that completely take the audience by surprise with their unique premise and visuals. However, for this iconic 2007 movie with penguins surfing, it was a goldmine from the very beginning. Right after the movie was released, it became a sensation not just amongst the age bracket to which it was catered, but also for people above that age bracket. Hence, its relevance is still very much present. The series will also cater to children in the age bracket of 6-9 years.

Each of the episodes of the series will have an 11-minute runtime. The series will have a new penguin as the lead. This time, the series will tell the story of Flip. Flip is a teenage penguin with dreams just as big as Cody’s. Just like Cody, Flip wishes to become a surfing legend.

So, to make his dream come true, he creates a team. However, things do not exactly go according to his plans, so he ends up making their surfing community on Pen Gu Island. Though this time, the focus will not be on Cody, unlike the movie, he will be very much present in the series as well. Besides, Cody, Big Z, and Chicken Joe will also be returning in the series.
