Survivor Season 49 Episode 12 aired on December 10, 2025. The latest episode of the CBS show featured yet another unexpected elimination.

After receiving three votes, Steven was sent home from Survivor Season 49. There were many exciting moments, including Steven's secret advantage, Rizo's potential to play immunity idols, and more.

Also, Soph tried to move forward with her "knowledge is power" advantage, which allowed her to steal any secret power. However, she couldn't get Steven's because he had already used it to block her vote. But the rest of the participants did not know about it, as was revealed later on in the episode.

But, unfortunately, Steven became a target at the latest Tribal Council because of his secret power. As a result, he received the most votes and was sent home.

Survivor Season 49 Episode 12: What happened at the Tribal Council?

With his advantage, Steven chose Savannah for his vote. Because of that, her vote would be blocked from the Tribal Council's voting. Rizo was looking forward to Soph stealing Steven's advantage. But things didn't work out the way he wanted to. Additionally, Soph wished to be safe with Rizo's idol.

The show host talked about Rizo's immunity idol. It had been one of the most discussed topics, but wasn't used as said. Rizo noted that his immunity idol was supposed to be used by this week, as it would expire soon. However, in reality, it was supposed to expire the upcoming week. He also noted that his immunity idol was one of the most essential parts. It was because they didn't know about Steven's advantage.

Steven talked about how nervous he was about the Tribal Council. While he had an advantage no one knew about, he was still a target. Soon, Soph shared her thoughts on being the "silent assassin" and asked Steven about the advantage.

Later, Savannah learned that her vote had been blocked by Steven. One more time, Rizo's idol was not used during the Tribal Council, for which he apologized to Soph. Soon, the cast members voted to eliminate the person they wanted.

Survivor host Jeff Probst revealed the final decisions. Steven received three votes, while Soph received one vote. Sage apologized to Steven and told him that she couldn't beat him. Rizo shared his thoughts on misplaying the advantage and how everything worked out.

While leaving Survivor, Steven noted that it felt pretty amazing for not being an imposter. He also confessed that he had proved he was capable of doing much more.

Steven added that the game was:

"A complete mission success in terms of self-discovery."

Following this, Steven was eliminated from the CBS show.

For the upcoming episode of Survivor, fans will witness things moving towards the finale with the final five participants. They would go through two immunity challenges. Each of them will try to secure their wins by staying ahead in these challenges.
