With her timid yet fierce personality and red hair, Ginny Weasley is one of the more beloved characters from the Harry Potter series. Bonnie Wright portrayed the role of Ginny in the Harry Potter movies. HBO is currently developing a Harry Potter series and the casting for the characters is underway. During an interview Wright shared that she hopes that the children who will be playing the coveted roles will take character insights from the books.
While speaking to People about the casting for the upcoming show, Wright said,
“I think every actor stepping into all the roles, I hope, really go from the book and they take their interpretation of the characters from the book as the original source of material. And I just hope that they do what they wanna do and they make their character who they envision Ginny to be.”
Wright played Ginny in all eight Harry Potter movies. About the new actors joining the franchise, she said,
“And I think that's what's cool…that other people can give her character and all the others new life. So I don't think I would … I guess the only thing I would say is like, be present in the moment…Enjoy every minute of it, would be the only thing I would say.”
