Netflix just dropped the official first look for its upcoming docu-series on the legendary UK-based pop band, Take That.
The documentary, by the same name, will feature unseen footage and backstage moments of the members of the five-person band, including Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen, Jason Orange, and Robbie Williams.
Check out the official first look teaser released earlier today:
Take That was a pop band that was formed in the 1990s in Manchester, United Kingdom. Over the years, the band went on to become a massive hit, selling out albums and shows and garnering a mass following like no other.
Although fans are aware of their onstage personalities, the Netflix docuseries will capture the essence of the band members beyond the stage, sharing candid details about their interpersonal relationships and offstage dynamics.
The docuseries is set to release in three parts and will be available to stream on Netflix starting January 27th, 2026.
Netflix docu-series Take That explores the "deeply personal" story of the popular '90s band
"Nothing beats being in a band," says Barlow in the opening section of the first look teaser released earlier today, and this roughly sums up the experience that will be explored in the three-part series, Take That.
Shown mostly through conversations with Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen, Take That will take the audience through the offstage emotions and journey of the band over the years, as they grew to become one of the most popular boy bands globally.
The official plot synopsis reads,
"From their early beginnings as [a] five piece formed in Manchester to becoming pop superstars, relive the camaraderie, chaos, and resilience that fueled their meteoric rise, dramatic split, and one of the greatest comebacks in British music history. Told in their own words, this is the deeply personal and definitive story of Take That."
The show will feature almost 35 years of raw, unseen footage that shows the band's offstage camaraderie and how they went through various highs and lows throughout the course of their journey together.
Take That has been produced by Fullwell Entertainment and is directed by David Soutar. Soutar has previous experience in covering other such musical documentaries, including Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All.
Although no further information is available about the show so far, fans can expect to get more details soon, with less than a month left for the Netflix release.
Take That will be available to stream on Netflix starting January 27th, 2026.
