Taylor Swift announces the Eras Tour and The End of an Era docu-series coming to Disney+

The docuseries that every Swiftie has been waiting for has finally been confirmed. The End of an Era is a six-part docuseries set to premiere on Disney+, which will follow the record-breaking tour coming to life from behind the scenes.

Additionally, the singer-songwriter also announced the release of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour: The Final Show on Disney+, a full concert film of the final Eras Tour shows in Vancouver.

All of this comes only ten days after the release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, proving that the artist is indeed "married to the hustle."

Taylor Swift announces brand-new docuseries, The End of an Era, and concert film The Eras Tour | The Final Show

Taylor Swift released her brand-new studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3, and not even ten days later, there's a brand-new release to look forward to. The artist recently took to Good Morning America and her socials to make an enchanting announcement.

Swift has been honest about the fact that the Eras Tour was one of the most intense chapters of her life as an artist. For everybody who was involved in making this global phenomenon, we finally get a behind-the-scenes look at everything and everyone who contributed to the massive tour.

The End of an Era is a six-part documentary that captures the tour and the stories woven throughout it. The first two episodes of the docuseries, directed by Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce, are set to premiere on December 12. The December 12 release will be followed by two-episode releases over the next two weeks. The docuseries has been produced by Object & Animal.

Taylor Swift announced the docuseries on her Instagram, writing:

"It was the End of an Era and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down."

The news doesn't end here, because along with the docuseries, Swift also announced a brand-new concert film, which will also premiere on December 12 on Disney+. This concert film will follow the final stop of the Eras Tour in Vancouver. It will also include the new section of the tour, "Female Rage: The Musical," which was added after the release of Swift’s 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Taylor Swift wrote on her Instagram:

"The Eras Tour | The Final Show, featuring the entire Tortured Poets Department set, and the first two episodes of The End of an Era, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries will be yours December 12th"

The announcement comes with a trailer from Swift, where she talks about the Eras Tour:

"People like to talk about phenomenons. Almost as if it was pieces falling into place. As if it just happened. The Eras Tour wasn't when all the pieces fell into place. This tour was just when every single one of us who had done so much work, pushing inch-by-inch, to when it all clicked together. We have broken every single record you can break with this tour. The only thing leftsis to close the book."
