Lori Greiner, the Shark Tank investor, has advice for all the people who are trying to find their happiness and motivation in an era dominated by relentless ambition and hyper productivity. She points out that this might lead to people feeling overwhelmed.

This could mean juggling goals and aspirations or ticking off an endless to-do list, and thus, the hustle can start to feel more like a burden than a path to something great. Lori says that these moments, where one is exhausted, a sobering thought of wanting less from life might arise.

However, Lori gives a powerful reminder for these times. She spoke about the emotional fatigue that often accompanies the pursuit of big goals. The Shark Tank investor expressed,

"Do you feel overwhelmed with the everyday hustle? You know that feeling. When you do your everyday lists and it seems endless. When your goals feel more like a burden than possibilities. Trust me, I've been there too. "

She added,

"When you think to yourself, 'I wish I didn't want so much from life. Maybe things would be simpler if I had just expected less.' Stop right there. Go back to that little version of yourself, the one who dreamed about limits, who believed anything was possible."

Lori's words reflect a universal experience of the gradual erosion of the childlike wonder. It is because, as we grow up, we are taught to be realistic. As kids, one is not burdened by the expectations of others or by the fear of failure.

However, adulthood changes all of that and introduces a new narrative..This is when dreams are measured against practicality and timelines.

Lori urges individuals to find that little kid inside of themselves once again and believe that they could do anything or be anyone. She says,

"That child who didn't know about realistic or impossible. They just knew what they wanted. Remember that feeling when you believed you could do anything? Be anyone? That child is still inside you, and you owe that child everything you wished for when you were small."

Continuing, she said,

"Don't let other people affect you and change what you do and what you go for. Because your dreams aren't too much. They're exactly what you're meant to pursue. Because that little dreamer deserves everything they wished for and that little dreamer is still you."

The Shark Tank investor advises letting that kid come out and let it do the things that it wanted to as a kid. These words are more than just a motivational soundbite and more like a blueprint for emotional resilience.
