Here’s how the cast of We Were Liars reacted to the scenes

The cast of We Were Liars begins with the beach scene, where Johnny asks Candy, Gat, and Mirren to tell two truths and a lie from their time outside the island.

Mirren replies that she has been texting with an older guy, has a flower tattoo, and has met Taylor Swift. Gat asks her, "What kind of flower?" Mirren takes a beat to reply, due to which the group easily recognizes that it was a lie.

While watching the scene, the cast starts to share their thoughts. Esther McGregor smiles and says,

"She's lying, That was the worst lie that I have ever told."

Emily Alyn Lind mentions,

"Okay, that's a green screen. We had to reshoot this whole thing."

At this point, the cast resumes watching the scene. After a moment, it pauses again, and McGregor asks Lind,

"Wait, why did you have to reshoot yours?"

To which Lind replies,

"Oh, it was gray. It was cold this day Look, how cold it was."

After this, the cast discusses how tough the weather conditions were and how they had to reshoot the scene inside because of that.

Another funny and intriguing moment in the video is how the cast reacts to Johnny and Cadence’s scene. After Gat’s turn, it was supposed to be Johnny’s. However, Johnny leaves to get an ice pop. On seeing Johnny skip his turn, Cadence asks him about it, but he tells her,

“You can’t handle my truth.”

Joseph Zada, on seeing this scene, reveals that this comment by Johnny is supposed to be a Jack Nicholson reference, but reveals that he did not go for the full version of it. The other cast members agree with him. There were also many improv moments which Emily and Gat added to make the scene more intriguing.

Esther McGregor also adds that her character dives in to get more info about Johnny’s story. Shubham Maheswari, however, adds that he was shivering while shooting this scene. He says,

“I don’t know if you noticed, but my hand was shaking.”

The cast members end the video by saying how the scenes were a great bonding experience for all of them. If you haven’t watched We Were Liars yet, then waste no time and dive deep into the world of lies and thrill this Prime Video show has to offer.
