The 3 must-watch TV shows starring Rashida Jones

1] Parks and Recreation

If you talk about Rashida Jones being on TV, you simply cannot gloss over Parks and Recreation. Portraying Ann Perkins, she was the heart and soul of the show's chaotic and funny world.

Ann starts on the show as the nurse from Pawnee who just wants to fill in a dangerous pit near her house, but she ends up finding her life intertwined with Leslie Knope. The relationship between Ann and Leslie soon turns out to be one of the most important and loved female friendships on TV. While Leslie was extremely optimistic, Ann was the grounded one, which is why their friendship worked well.

Along with this, Rashida's romantic narratives, from Andy to Chris Traeger, brought in the many twists to her arc, but what always defined Ann was her determination to find herself. She left the show in season 6, which left fans upset, especially during her goodbye with Leslie, but her legacy as Pawnee's beloved nurse stayed right until the show ended.

Rashida made Ann Perkins an unforgettable character, and that is why Parks and Recreation is a must-watch for anyone who wants to see her best work.

2] Silo

On the complete opposite end of comedy, Rashida Jones took on a haunting role in Apple TV+'s Silo. As Allison Becker, she had limited screentime, but her performance is what sets the story in motion.

Living underground with her husband, Holston, Allison begins to question the rules that govern and lead her society. Her figuring out that they have been lied to about the outside world leads to one of the show's most chilling scenes and i.e., her decision to step out of the silo.

Though her time on screen was small, Rashida Jones played the character with hope that stayed on screen throughout the first season. Watching her character realize that her choices were never truly her own is why the show was such a mind-bending watch.

Allison's final scene, where she walked into the toxic air, was unforgettable. Her arc on Silo only proves that sometimes, it only takes a few episodes for an actor to leave a lasting impression, and Rashida proved exactly that in Silo.

3] The Office

Before Parks and Recreation, there was The Office. She played Karen Filippelli, who was first seen in season three when Jim was transferred to the Stamford branch.

Karen was smart, and she was not afraid to go after what she wanted. Her relationship with Jim gave the show one of the most complicated love stories. Even after her breakup with Jim, Karen's story did not end just there. She eventually became the manager of Dunder Mifflin's Utica branch, which is how she proved her worth.

Rashida Jones brought charm and strength to Karen, making her a fan-favorite character. If you want to see her flex her comedic timing before Parks and Recreation, then The Office is the correct place to visit.

From two sitcoms that gave us laughter to an Apple TV+ show that left us feeling shook, Rashida Jones has shown many times why she is one of TV's most compelling actors today.

Parks and Recreation, Silo, and The Office each showcase a different side of her talent, whether it be intensity or ambition, or the need to follow and make her own decisions. These three shows don't just show Rashida Jones' talent, but rather they prove why she continues to be an actress whom the fans root for every time she's on screen.
