The Accident Season 2 ending explained

The Accident Season 2 opens with both Emiliano and Charro behind bars. Emiliano is serving his prison sentence for killing his son and his friends by negligence. Charro is also serving his prison sentence, as he got accused of murdering Moncho and Barroso, a crime he actually did not commit. Charro is convinced that he will be free because he has faith in his lawyer, Ulises, but the judge doesn't allow for his release and hands him a long sentence.

Charro, feeling trapped, instigates a rebellion in the jail to escape. He stabs Emiliano and escapes, using Emiliano as protection during the chaos. Emiliano survives the attack and, due to the circumstances, is later allowed to return home. Once outside, Charro remains on the run. He tries to find Lupe but instead discovers that she is secretly involved with Ulises. He is furious and heartbroken, and ends up staying with his ex-wife Tamara, who still holds a grudge against Lupe. She wants payback because Lupe framed Charro and put him in jail.

Meanwhile, Alex is caught in the middle of everything. Not only does he have to deal with the reality that his father is a convicted criminal, but he also learns that his mother, Lupe, ordered the murders of Moncho and Barroso. She then framed Charro afterward. Alex, overwhelmed, tells Charro the truth. Hearing this, Charro wants to take revenge, and Tamara helps arrange a confrontation between him, Lupe, and Ulises.

Emiliano, who has been observing the situation from afar, also ends up at the scene. A shootout follows in which Ulises is shot and killed. Lupe tries to escape but crashes her car. Even though Charro finally has the chance to kill her, he cannot pull the trigger because he still loves her. Emiliano then shoots Charro while Lupe lies unconscious beside her dead husband.

After the incident, Lupe is arrested for the earlier murders of Moncho and Barroso. She is released at first, but Alex’s testimony sends her back to prison. The final twist in the season takes place when Yolanda hands her a poisoned chocolate bar that kills her.

Meanwhile, Emiliano and Daniela struggle throughout the season and even take time apart. But as they work together on Charro’s case, they slowly reconnect. Emiliano makes a big gesture to win her back, and though their relationship is far from perfect, they choose to reconcile. The Accident Season 2 ends with every character attempting to face their trauma and move forward.
