FX's culinary psychological series The Bear Season 4 will finally be released on Hulu on June 25, 2025.
This twenty-one Primetime Emmy Award-winning dark comedy show takes the audience on a gritty and intense ride as haute cuisine chef Carmen returns to Chicago to run his family's run-down beef restaurant and transform it into a fine dining one.
The Season 3 finale saw Carmy, Sydney and Richie reflect on their culinary journeys as they bid farewell to Chef Terry’s restaurant Ever.
The Bear Season 4 will pick up right from the events of the shocking finale, where Carmy finally read the Chicago Tribune review of his restaurant.

The official synopsis for Season 4 reads as follows:

With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust and overcome. This season, the pursuit of excellence isn’t just about getting better — it’s about deciding what’s worth holding on to.”
What can you expect in The Bear Season 4?
The Bear Season 4 will naturally pick up from the Season 3 finale, which ended on a cliffhanger, and the restaurant's future is uncertain.
Just as the team of chefs and culinary experts was partying the night away at the closing night of Ever, Carmy received a notification that the Chicago Tribune had finally published their review of the titular restaurant.
While the audience could not read the review in its entirety, it appeared to be mixed with words like "inconsistent" and ''sloppy'' popping out.
Just as Carmy is reading the review, Cicero warns him about their high-stakes partnership, which could be jeopardized if his restaurant receives even one negative review. This leads to a furious outburst from Carmy, and the screen turns blank with 'To be continued...', promising high-stakes drama in The Bear Season 4.
The culinary show not only expands on the fictional drama between the characters but also addresses the high-stakes events in the real hotel industry, something it will continue to explore in Season 4, as actress Liza Colón-Zayas (Tina Marrero) teased with ScreenRant:
''The future is very fragile. You know, we're white-knuckling it, but that's also very real, right? Especially now, the state of everything, but especially the restaurant industry. It's not a walk in the park''
She added:
''That line that Richie had in the beginning, like, "It is a delicate ecosystem." And I think that as long as that is inspired and nurtured then we'll have the magic that we have.''
