The Bear Seitness the Natalie and Francie Fak lore addressed. Natalie "Sugason 4 is finally streaming with all ten episodes, and apart from several emotional journeys, we also get to war" Berzatto and Francie Fak's beef hasn't gone unnoticed since Season 2, even though the audience has no idea who Francie is, or why there's so much beef between her and Natalie.
Season 4 finally addresses this mystery, and here's everything we know about Natalie and Francie's unresolved feud.
The Bear Season 4 addresses Francie Fak and Natalie Berzatto's ongoing beef
The Faks have been an important part of The Bear, as they're like family to the Berzattos, and since Season 2, we've slowly been introduced to a lot of the members. However, Francie Fak has only been mentioned up until Season 3, and the little information we did have about her made it clear that she and Natalie had a lot of deep history, and it wasn't all good.

Francie Fak is Neil's sister, and since the Faks and the Berzattos have been close for a very long time, it is clear that Natalie and Francie must've been girls together, just as Neil and Carmy were boys together. However, the only times Francie has been mentioned in The Bear have been in heated conversations involving Natalie, and it's clear that something happened between the two of them, which led to Natalie holding a deep-seated grudge against Francie and Francie's absence from all family gatherings.
It's revealed by Neil in the Christmas recap episode during his conversation with Michelle that Natalie refuses to be in the same room as Francie:
"She's mad as hell. She's angry, Cause of the thing..."
This statement alone was enough to intrigue fans, and The Bear Season 4 finally introduces us to Francie, who is played by Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson. Larson makes her appearance as Francie in the seventh episode of the fourth season, during Frank and Tuffany's wedding, and her feud with Natalie is lit up just as soon as Natalie notices her.
This episode in The Bear Season 4 is much like the Christmas special, "Fishes", in the sense that the entire family is gathered in celebration, and that chaos erupts midway. Natalie and Francie are screaming at each other about a fateful night that has set up a beef that has been dragging on for years.

Somewhere in between this bickering, we find out that these two went to a house party years ago, and that there was whipped cream everywhere and Francie was drunk and unable to start the car. Francie adds that it was heavily raining, and the bus was about to leave, and there weren't any cellphones back then, which pushed Natalie into another round of profanities and bickering. Pete somehow gets in between the two and tries to get them to calm down, which leads to Ted dropping the single most surprising and coherent bit of information we receive about their past so far:
"Pete’s in denial about these two hooking up."
Pete looks at his wife in disbelief, scoffing and adding that they did not hook up, to which he receives nothing but silence, confirming that Natalie and Francie did, in fact, hook up. This comes as a surprise to many, but not much is added to the recap.
Even though we do not get much detail in The Bear Season 4 about exactly what happened between the two at this house party years ago, we do get some more insight into Francie's character and what might have gone on to instill so much hate in Natalie. Francie and her brothers, Neil and Ted, have a conversation where she is extremely mean towards their girlfriends, and she says it's her job to be mean to them, and that it is from a place of overprotection and love.
Larson as Francie is not what one would expect a Fak sister to be like in The Bear; however, sisters in The Bear have always managed to surprise the audience. Francie is beautiful, but she uses her beauty as a weapon and armour to hide her insecurities and to punch other people down.
Even though Natalie and Francie hash out their differences in The Bear Season 4, confessing that they've both thought about each other, and hoped they were happy, and agree to be friends, there is an undertone as Natalie asks Francie:
"You won't f*ck me over?"
We might not have found out exactly what happened with the whipped cream, it appears The Bear Season 4 is taking a card from Harvey and Donna in Suits, but we do know that Francie is a best friend to have on your side, but she's also the worst enemy to have against you.
All ten episodes of The Bear Season 4 are now available to stream.
