Gordon described reuniting and working with Danes on the set of The Beast in Me after Homeland as both rewarding and exciting.

Matthew Rhys plays the role of Nile Jarvis in The Beast in Me. Nile is a powerful real estate developer with an intense past.

His wife disappeared under suspicious circumstances, and he was once the main suspect in that case. Eventually, when Nile moves next door to Aggie, her curiosity becomes difficult to contain.

Rhys is recognized for his work in The Americans and Perry Mason. However, the show gives him another chance to portray something entirely different. Finding the right actor for Nile proved challenging for the production team.

Gordon required someone who could exude charm, danger, and vulnerability all at once, and Rhys delivered beyond expectations with his in-depth performance.
