Netflix's latest psychological thriller, The Beast in Me, takes a rather dark turn with its latest episode, Episode 7.
The episode, titled Ghosts, takes a step back from where things ended in Episode 6, where we see Nile planting a dead body in Aggie's house. Instead, the episode goes into a flashback, back to December 2019, revealing details about a sting operation that FBI Agent Brian Abbott pulled off along with the FBI, ending in his arrest of Pedro Dominguez from a party.
The Beast in Me follows the story of author Aggie Wiggs as she retreats from public life after the death of her son. However, she finds herself entangled in a mystery when the house next door to her is purchased by Nile Jarvis, who is a suspected murderer.
While Episode 7 delves deep into the operation pulled off by Abbott back in December 2019, it also uncovers the mysterious disappearance of Nile's wife, Madison Jarvis, and the truth is darker than expected.

The Beast in Me Episode 7 uncovers the dark truth behind Madison Jarvis' mysterious death
In this episode, the audience sees Nile getting anxious and cautious as the investigation narrows. In fact, he is now suspicious that someone close to him is leaking information to the FBI. His primary suspect is Nina, Madison's assistant at the gallery, who has easy access to Madison's stuff as she helps with her medication as well.
When Pedro Dominguez is arrested from the party by the FBI, Nile's suspicions only grow stronger, and he ends up confronting Nina. Nina, however, in a fit of rage and tired of Nile's suspicion and accusations, ends up revealing the real informant to him - his wife, Madison.
It is then revealed that Madison, who was growing increasingly tired of her marriage and scared of her husband's temper, had confided in Abbott and sought his help. During this conversation, she also revealed that Nile had once, in a fit of rage, murdered a young sculptor whom she was mentoring. She even revealed that while she was desperate to escape her marriage with her violent husband, she was afraid to do so because she was terrified that Nile would end up killing her in a fit of rage.
Well, unfortunately, that's exactly what happens when Nina exposes Madison's truth to Nile.
Unable to digest the fact that his wife was the one leaking information about him to the FBI, Nile goes into a fit of rage and ultimately ends up bludgeoning Madison to death in her own gallery.
After crying over her dead body for a while, Nile ends up calling his father and brother for help, who arrive immediately to help him cover up his actions. When Nina arrives at the gallery the following day, there is no trace of the murder, and instead, she finds a suicide note by Madison in the gallery.
Episode 7 ends on a very heavy note as the truth about Madison Jarvis' mysterious death is revealed.
